On 06/29/2024, I purchased a Evolution Forester 6 Plus from the dealer. Upon delivery, which was very late at night, there were issues that were never fixed. Dealer is refusing warranty service, telling me they are going to mail me nuts and bolts for an LSV not even 14 days old. I am supposed to fix a brand new vehicle myself?? Other nuts and bolts are loose one the top, which connect to the frame causing a safety hazard to anyone on or around the vehicle. Horrifying customer service, Telling me I said things I never said, very rude. The *************** has still not received my signed documents for this loan. I can not reach Evolution Corporate either. Continued run around. At this point I just want my money and my golf cart back, as far as I am concerned they can come get this Lemon they sold me and I will never deal with either the dealership or the maker of this LSV. Buyer beware! Promised lots of things to get NONE! I didn't even get a copy of my warranty...It's laughable, told me I don't need a copy.Customer Answer

I have been trying since July 5th 2024 to reach the manufacturer directly, via phone calls, emails, and voice messages....All with no response to date. It is very frustrating, as the cart is just sitting awaiting a response from someone. It seems as no-one wants to stand up and take responsibility for any of what is happening here.Business Response

*********************************** purchased a golf cart from us on June 29th, 2024. In response to the complaints made about loose bolts on her roof, we sent out a mechanic to have that resolved. After he arrived, ******* told him that she did not wish to have the repairs done as she wanted to keep driving the golf cart. Since then, she has not reached out to us. Because the golf cart is a titled vehicle and financed, we cannot offer any sort of refund. ******* has a 2 year parts warranty on her cart through the manufacturer, and Tigon Golf Cart's policy is to cover any labor needed for repairs. While on site service/transport is not covered, we did offer that at no charge, but as stated previously, she refused the service. While we understand that the golf cart had loose bolts, it is not a "lemon". If she would like future service, she may reach out to us by phone, email, or visiting our store.Business Response

In response to the additional comments made, that she has reached out directly to the manufacterer, we would like to add that she will have to reach out directly to the dealer in order to have her golf cart serviced. The manufacterer does not provide services directly to customers, only to dealers. Again, we would be happy to service her golf cart, at no cost to her, but she will have to reach out to Tigon Golf Carts by phone, email, or in person.Initial Complaint

I am a 73 year old retired Vietnam-era **** veteran living in a 55+ community in Magnolia, Delaware living on a fixed income. Back in June I decided to buy a used RV trailer located in ***** *** a 1000 site campground in Dagsboro, Delaware. I needed to purchase a used golf cart to allow me and my dog to get around. After searching locally without any luck, I searched on line for golf cart dealers out of state. I came across Tigon Golf Carts with three stores, 2 in Pennsylvania and 1 in New Jersey. On the Hatfield, PA site I found a used 2019 electric **** *** ***** for $6500 (plus $400 delivery charge) that fit my budget. What caught my attention was the 0% APR ,$200 military discount, new batteries, new tinted windshield, and a 90 DAY BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY. On Wednesday July 12th I drove the 110 miles to Tigon Golf Carts in Hatfield, PA. The salesperson (*****) I had spoke to was busy so another person (young male) said he would show me the golf cart. I did a short test drive in the parking lot and because of a smudge on the body that wouldn’t come out I pointed to an identical cart (#26) that I would purchase. I found out later the person who didn’t even introduce himself was the owner and manager. I was somewhat surprised. When ***** became available I sat down with him to discuss the transaction. It turned out the 0% APR was not as cut and dry as it seemed, to me it was very confusing. So I wrote a check for $4000 and decided to finance the balance of about $3000 for 9.49% through a finance company Tigon uses. After all the paperwork was done as I was leaving I felt a little uncomfortable, no one thanked me or said anything like enjoy your golf cart, have a nice day. It seemed odd and I had a gut feeling maybe I made a mistake. On my drive home it really bothered me. The golf cart was delivered to the campground (Dagsboro, DE) on Tuesday, July 25th. I met the driver there and he drove the golf cart off the truck and parked it along side my RV. He handed me the keys along with the spare tire and charger which I put in my shed. I was in a hurry that day, someone was watching my dog and I didn’t have time take it for a ride or fully inspect it. In hindsight I guess I should have. The following Saturday (29th) me and the dog drove from Magnolia to the campground in Dagsboro (45 miles). I tried to start the golf cart, the batteries seemed completely dead. I called Tigon in Hatfield and spoke to Jodie and was told I would have to charge the batteries for 24 hours. I mentioned that the batteries are ADVERTISED AS NEW and shouldn’t have to be charged for that long. She told me all used golf carts sold by Tigon go through a 50 POINT inspection. I looked at the condition of my cart and I can see this one DID NOT go through any type of inspection. It looked nothing like what o saw on the website. The windshield was the original from the golf course, there were golf tees in the holders, a molded piece of plastic from that housed electronics used at the golf course with wires sticking out (not live) installed above the windshield inside and the cart itself was not not cleaned. I did what Jodie asked me and charged the batteries for 24 hours. The following day I checked the charger and the charge light was still blinking. I tried to start the cart and it would not start. This went on for a few weekends. When the Manager’s mother (********) finally got involved she told me it would cost me $75 for a technician to come and check it out only if he is in the Dagsboro area and $300 if he is not. She did tell me there would be a tech in the area tomorrow (told me the day before) but I had an appointment and couldn’t be there. I mentioned I have to be there and I want to be there, it’s a gated campground and I have the golf cart key. Another problem I mentioned to ***** was that the steering wheel was loose and made a squeaky noise, I emailed a video. ******** called me back few hours later and told me all the used Club Cars Tigon sells has the same issue. I asked her “isn’t this something of concern that should corrected during the 50 point inspection”? She didn’t answer me. Weekend of August 12th I drove to the campground with a newly purchased battery tester and one gallon of distilled water. Checking the water level in each of the 6 batteries I found all cells were low, added water to all cells. I then connected the charger and let it charge overnight. Next day disconnected charger voltmeter read 48 volts. Took cart for a ride and thought that would be the end of my nightmare. Following Saturday the 19th drove again to campground to hopefully enjoy the weekend. Drove cart less than an hour and battery indicator came on. Indicating I needed to charge the batteries again. I received the new windshield on August 17th and had to pay someone to install it on site at the campground on August 19th. My issues with Tigon is that they sold me a 2019 Club Car Tempo that they say has new batteries installed in it. But when it sits idle for less than a week I have to recharge the batteries to get maybe an hour drive time out of it. Also the steering wheel squeaking and being loose. There is no way this cart went through any inspection. And to charge me upwards to $300 to have a technician come out ? I spent over $7000 on something that has caused me nothing but aggravation and stress. It may not sound like a lot of money to some people but for someone living on a small pension and social security it’s a big chunk of change. I feel that I was taken advantage of by the manager of Tigon because of my inexperience with a golf cart and my age. I’m at wits’ end, it’s out of my hands and need help from a third party to resolve this issue. Tigon Golf Carts is one dealership that appears it does not stand behind their 90 DAY BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY. Same model 2019 Club Car Tempo as advertised on the Hatfield, PA website: ***************************************************************-2/ Note: There is a golf cart repair shop directly across the street from the campground.Business Response

As he said in his complaint, ************ physically viewed the cart and had the option to drive the golf cart when he came into the store. We have spoken with ************ many times and have tried to schedule a date to meet with him to address his concerns, but he is very busy and wont meet with us. We are happy to work with ************ to resolve his concerns, although we are confident that his golf cart is in perfect working order. We also shipped ************ a brand-new windshield to remedy our mistake.
Sincerely,

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered]
Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because:
9/19/23
I viewed the golf cart that I ended up purchasing but after I test driven an identical cart that was along side it. However, after my test drive I noticed a smudge on the side and was told by Tigon (said he was the owner) the smudge cant be removed. I then pointed to the one I purchased and was told that it was the same model and year (**** *** ***** 2019) and that it was fine.
Also it would be fully inspected before delivery.
So based on what I was told I thought I didn’t need to test drive it. Besides the trouble I’m having with my golf cart wouldn’t show up on a short test drive.
The problem is with the batteries they do not hold a charge, this is the issue.
Example
This past weekend I drove down to the campsite. First thing I did was plug in the golf cart charger. Next morning (12 hours later) charging light was still blinking (which to me its still charging). I disconnected the charger anyway and drove maybe 15 minutes and the battery indicator light under the steering wheel came on (which means batteries need to be charged).
This happens every time and shouldn't with new batteries.
It was mentioned that we spoke many times and that I was too busy to schedule a date and time to meet with a Tigon technician at the campsite.
I agree Tigon and I have spoken many times but we got no where.
But only once was scheduling a tech mentioned. I was informed that a tech was going to be in the area tomorrow, when I got back home the day before.
I would be more than happy to meet with a Tigon tech but I do not agree with paying $75 (if the he is in the area) or $300 (if he isn't) as I was told.
This should be covered in my 90 day bumper to bumper warranty.
I am open to the idea of the tech calling me directly, you have my number.
I can go over everything I checked (voltages, distilled water levels, etc).
Or arrange a date/time to meet at the location with advance notice.
One more note, your website says the 2019 Club Car Tempo comes with
2022 ****** batteries.
Why did my golf cart come with ***** batteries and no mention of year ?
I did receive the brand new windshield but I had to pay someone to install it.Regards,

We sent ************ the following email, and he selected Option 1.Hello ************,I am writing to you in an attempt to resolve the situation you are having with the 2019 **** *** ***** (Serial #************ golf cart you purchased from the Hatfield location of Tigon Golf Carts on July 12, 2023. I would like to offer you one of the following three resolutions:Option 1) You can return the cart for a full refund of $6,915. This amount includes the cart, storage cover, side mirrors you had Tigon install, and delivery fees. I will personally bring down a check and pick up the golf cart and have it returned to Tigon Golf Carts. Because part of the purchase price was financed, you will still have to make the payments as scheduled (or you can pay it off in full), which will leave you the $4,000 you originally wrote a check for.Option 2) You can choose to come to one of our dealerships and hand-select a different 2019 **** *** *****, which we will add side mirrors to, and exchange it for your current cart.Option 3) We will replace the full set of new batteries in your current cart with another set of new batteries. In reading your complaint letters about what is happening with the cart, and speaking with our mechanics, we do not believe switching the batteries will change the way the cart is performing, since your cart already has new batteries and is performing up to manufacturer specifications. Our request was that he retract the complaints made to the BBB before we could deliver payment (which I will personally hand him), and he said "there is no way in **** until I get my money".If you are able to reach out to ************ and come to an understanding, we will be happy to deliver payment to him within 24 hours.Thank you very much for your assistance!*****************************Tigon Golf Carts2333 Bethlehem Pike
