On 19, OCTOBER 2022 I took my car to Meineke of Hershey, Inc, because there was a coolant leak somewhere; the mechanic said that it needed a new radiator hose. I told him to replace whatever parts needed to be replaced in order to fix the problem and prevent to happen it again in the near future. The bill came up to $468 +. I was charged with replacing the upper and lower radiator hose, flushing radiator, topping off radiator fluid, and evaluating the heating system. On the 22nd of December the heater wasn't working, when I checked under the hood the antifreeze reservoir was totally empty. I refilled it but a couple days later it was empty again. I contacted Meineke to inquire about the job they had previously done, 1st they said they had no record of fixing the car so I went there with the receipt. This time they said that the heather hose was in bad shape and was leaking. When I asked why they didn't replace it back in October when I asked to replace whatever part needed to be replaced, they said that probably the mechanic didn't check or noticed. I asked if they fixed the coolant leak, if they did a pressure check on the system, they said that they didn't because I didn't ask for it and it would been extra money. I was also told by 1 of Meineke staff that just because the reservoir was empty didn't mean that there was no coolant in the engine and that the car was still ok to drive! They asked me if I wanted to leave the car and get it fixed! NO WAY! I must point out that in between this happening I took a flat tire to them to get it fixed. After they reinstalled the tire, I drove about 3/4 mile and the tire was flat again. It was late in the evening so I had to leave the car overnight. The car was towed back to Meineke in the morning, and a few hours later they called me saying that the tire (a fairly new General tire) was fixed but it was still leaking because the patch and the plug didn't work and I needed to get a new tire. Conclusion, Meineke sucks!
