  Hershey Dental *********************************************************************** My daughter has been going to this dentist for some time. We changed insurance, so I called the office to let them know and to make sure they accepted our new insurance. Gave them all the information, even filled out paper work online. They told me they accepted our insurance and we were good to go. I go the my daughters appointment 4 days later. She had her checkup and had work done. Never once did they say anything to me about my insurance. 2 weeks later, I receive a phone call from their office that they do not accept our insurance and that we have a balance of $195.00. Rightly so, we were upset. We called the office trying to understand why they said they accepted our insurance when they don't? They told us that they "ASSUMED" they accepted our insurance. Why would assume something like that? Then instead of apologizing, they put the blame on us, stating this was our fault. More like someone made a huge mistake and now they are trying to cover it. The lady on the phone told us that the Doctor would call us that day. We never received any phone call or messaged. Instead, the following day we received a call from a collection agency. The Doctor immediately sent us to collection, before we even received an invoice. Didn't even give us 24 hours. We called the dentist office once again, this time to specifically speak to the Doctor, and instead once again, the Doctor put the blame on us. Over $195???? They were so desperate to collect this money. I can't even imagine this happening to someone who is struggling and then this office pulls a stunt like this on them. This place is a complete scam and completely unprofessional. The only thing they want is money and do not give a c*** about you or anything else. I would highly suggest you find a doctors office that is more reportable and has a heart.
