This contractor came to my house in January 14 2025 and took a $1,325.00 deposit. He asked for my Penelec Account number so he can get a work order number in order to upgrade my electric panel. I provided him with the work order number on the 15th of January and he didn't contact me at all for the next 10 days. I called Penelec to see if they had a work order number and they said he never called there for a work order number. I called my credit card company disputed the charges and he fabricated his story by telling my credit card company he did the job and brought breakers and other items to my house although I NEVER saw him again after the initial meeting on January 14th 2025. He is robbing me for money he didn't even work for.

    Email #1:

Hello ********. First off thank you for looking into seeking out a resolution concerning my issue. As I mentioned in my initial complaint the Merchant
****** Contracting came to my home on January 14th and received a payment of $1,325.00 towards a $2,500.00 cost to upgrade my electric panel. The Merchant said he needed my Penelec Account number which I provided him with on January 15th to generate a work order number in order to do the work. For a total of 10 days he never reached out to me so I contacted Penelec on the 25th of January and they said he never called them and if he would've called the work order number would've been provided the same day. I contacted my credit card company the same day and disputed the charges. He then fabricated his story claiming to have provided me with breakers and other equipment and saying he provided me with service when he never did. In this email I have enclosed photos of the electric panel that were taken during a home inspection performed back in October 2024 and a recent photo taken on March 31 2025. You can clearly see that that's the same electric panel and no work was done at all. I have also enclosed a letter sent to the credit card company who I will be filing a complaint against as well dated March 11 2025. They credited the money back to the Merchant stating that I didn't provide them with a response in time when the cut off date to respond was March 25 2025. I will be sending more documents to support my complaint shortly. Thank you. Sincerely Yours ***** Jones
