    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Theres a huge difference between the materials I submitted and what Paradise House LLC sent.
They only provided a few distant photos that don't show any real details no safety issues, no structural problems, nothing you could actually inspect properly without being there in person.
Its just surface-level pictures, probably taken to hide the real condition of the work.

Meanwhile, my photos clearly show the actual problems unsafe gas line, improper water heater connection, unfinished construction details, and clear building code violations.
Its all right there, up close and undeniable.

Also, I want to mention the contractor is now claiming that everything was done with my approval, but thats absolutely not true.
I have screenshots showing clear promises he made especially about the bathroom on the second floor and what he actually delivered was completely different.
There was no approval, no real communication.
Just more broken promises and sloppy work.
It shows this wasnt an accident it was deliberate.

    Best regards,

Response to Rejection Paradise House LLC

    Dear BBB,

Thank you for forwarding this complaint.

I would like to reiterate that the nature of the agreement between Mr. ******** and me was never a simple contractor-client arrangement. From the beginning, we verbally agreed to act as partners in this project and to split the profits 50/50 after the sale of the home. I have witnesses who can confirm this agreement.

Mr. ******** was kept fully informed of the progress throughout the renovation process. I regularly provided photo updates, and he expressed satisfaction with the results multiple times. It was only toward the final stage when only minor finishing items were left that he began raising objections. By that time, he clearly understood that my help was no longer essential, and his sudden dissatisfaction appears to be a deliberate strategy to break away from our agreement and misrepresent me as just a contractor.

His current claims do not reflect the reality of how the project was run or how decisions were made. His rejection of my previous response confirms that he is not interested in resolving this fairly but is instead attempting to rewrite history for personal benefit.

I respectfully request that BBB take into account the full context, including the initial partnership agreement and the timeline of our communications.

    Sincerely,
    ****** *****

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

    Hi *****,

This is my formal response regarding the complaint against Paradise House LLC and ****** *****.

***** presents our interaction as some kind of partnership. Lets be clear he was paid for his work, not working for free or on the promise of future profits. I transferred $85,000 (eighty-five thousand dollars) in total, and not once did I receive a proper invoice, breakdown of costs, or any financial documentation. What kind of partner gets paid up front and then demands half the profits?

Lets talk about the actual work he performed. It was riddled with dangerous, substandard construction that couldve led to a fire, a gas explosion, or worse loss of life. For example:

******* stove was connected with a standard hose that did not match the valve threading. Instead of using proper fittings, ***** taped the hose onto the valve, creating a guaranteed gas leak.
Electrical appliances like the water heater and dryer were connected using underrated wires, hidden inside walls a massive fire hazard.
Siding installation was done with such poor-quality materials and sloppy technique that it created the perfect conditions for mold and rot inside the walls, potentially causing respiratory illness for future residents. Ive already signed a new $20,000 contract to replace it entirely.
The bathroom and kitchen layouts were nothing like what was promised. I was shown reference images of a modern second-floor bathroom and a kitchen with an island. What I received instead was a narrow strip of countertop along one wall and a completely different bathroom layout a bait-and-switch, plain and simple.
I had to completely redo the electrical wiring throughout the house to make it safe.
***** withheld the house keys, refused to return them, and removed a fireplace mantle shelf after I had explicitly told him he was no longer allowed on the property.
He also kept $2,000 I sent to pay for gas plumbing work. That work was later completed, but ***** admitted in writing that he had no intention of passing that payment to the plumber.

The photos ***** sent me during the project were deliberately taken at angles and distances that hid construction flaws. Only during an in-person inspection did I discover the full extent of the damage and dangerous shortcuts he had taken.

His work and the way he manipulated reporting placed me at serious legal risk. Had someone been injured or killed due to his violations, I could have been held criminally liable as the property owner or seller. This goes far beyond a civil dispute. These actions demonstrate reckless endangerment, deception, and possible fraud.

I urge BBB to take these facts seriously and continue reviewing this complaint accordingly. I have photos, documents, and communications to support every claim here.

    Sincerely,
    ******** ********

Subject: Response to Complaint ID ******** (******** ********)

Dear Ms. ************************ you for giving me the opportunity to respond to the complaint submitted by Mr. ******** ******** regarding my business, Paradise House LLC.

I respectfully disagree with the statements made in Mr. ********* complaint. His account is misleading, incomplete, and appears to be a calculated attempt to avoid sharing profits after a successful project. Please allow me to clarify several key points:

Furnace Installation and Access Denial: The furnace installation was not performed by me personally, but by an independent third-party contractor selected for that specific task. If Mr. ******** truly believed that the work was substandard or unsafe, he never made any attempt to notify me or allow for corrections. Instead, he abruptly changed the locks and blocked my access to the propertyclearly showing that he had no intention of resolving any concerns cooperatively. His actions suggest that his real goal is not to fix any issues, but simply to take full control of the project and keep all the money for himself.
Bathroom Photos and Misleading Expectations: The bathroom image initially shared with Mr. ******** was a general sample of design style, not a guaranteed result. As the renovation progressed, I sent him numerous actual photos and videos from normal, clear angles. The claim that I tried to mislead him is false.
Air Conditioner and **************: At no time did we agree on installing a central air conditioning system or a kitchen island. Both items were discussed and ultimately excluded due to budget constraints. Mr. ******** was fully aware of this.
Invoices and Financial Records: Mr. ******** never once requested any receipts, invoices, or financial documentation throughout the entire project. He now claims the absence of documents as a major issue, but at no point did he express concerns or ask for clarification until the project was already completed.
Nature of the Agreement: Our arrangement was clear: he provided funding for the house purchase and renovation with the understanding that profits would be shared after the sale. He was never promised guaranteed returns or treated as a customer hiring a contractor. Now that the property has increased in value, he is trying to reframe our collaboration in order to claim everything for himself. This is not only unfair but dishonest.

I am prepared to provide detailed records including communications, receipts, and progress documentation to support my version of events. Mr. ********* sudden change in tone, his refusal to cooperate, and his blocking of my access to the home clearly show that he had no intention of resolving things professionally.

    Sincerely,

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

This will be my final response to the complaint regarding Paradise House LLC.

I have no intention of continuing to debate a contractor who lies and manipulates to cover his own failures. Ive said from the beginning what the real issues were and that hasnt changed.

Attached to this message, I am providing the following:

A written statement from a licensed electrician, confirming that the electrical work done under ********************* created serious fire hazards.
Photos clearly showing that large sections of wiring had to be ripped out and redone after his team left the property.
An official safety notice from the gas utility (Peoples), refusing connection due to a hazardous installation along with photographs of the faulty gas valve.

These are not opinions. These are facts. And they directly contradict Mr. ****** version of events.

Mr. ***** is now trying to confuse the record, paint himself in a positive light, and twist the narrative. But as you can see, the documents and photographs speak for themselves.

I am done repeating myself. I stand by my original position and my evidence. Thank you for your time and consideration.

    Regards,
