    On June 21, 2023, I filed a claim with my insurance company Plymouth Rock Insurance. It is now August 16, 2023, and Plymouth Rock received $9733.13 from ***** to fix my car. Plymouth Rock has not sent the money to the shop, **** ****** Auto Body in Vineland, NJ. I have spoken with ***** ****** and ***** ********, both who have gave me the run around and also **** the operator, who have just transferred me to voicemail.

    Dear *** *******:

    This letter is in response to the August 16, 2023, inquiry we received from your office relative to our handling of the above-noted claim. 

    On June 21, 2023, **** ***** reported that her 2021 ********** ****** was struck while parked.  On June 27, 2023, we inspected the ********** at *** *****’s shop of choice.  We completed a repair estimate for $5,869.12 and issued a two-party check to the repair shop for $5,369.12, which was the cost to repair less the collision deductible.  

    On June 30, 2023, we received the police report identifying ***** as the responsible vehicle’s insurance carrier.  On July 3, 2023, we spoke with a representative of ***** and confirmed that they were accepting liability and had adequate coverage.  We refunded *** *****’s deductible on that same date.

    On July 24, 2023, we issued a supplemental two-party payment to the repair shop for $3,608.67.  On August 17, 2023, a final payment was issued to the repair shop for $196.96.  Recovery from ***** posted to the claim file August 22, 2023.
