We lease a piece of equipment from JCB Finance that we use in our farming operation in Louisa County Virginia. Farm equipment is exempt from person property taxes in our county. For the third year in a row jcb has paid these taxes and subsequently billed me for these taxes. I have been able to get the issue resolved with them personally the past 2 years by sending documentation of the county ordinance as well as a letter from the commissioner of revenue. For the third year in a row I received a bill in October for the personal property tax. I contacted customer service but they would not let me speak to anyone in the tax department but instructed me to email. I emailed them with a copy of the letter and county ordnance attached. I never heard anything from them. I received another bill in November. When I call I couldnt get anyone on the telephone but left a message. Still no response. When I received the third bill dated 12/9/22 I felt my only recourse was to contact BBB. JCB knows that I have the piece of equipment so they should have in my file that its exempt from personal property taxes. The commissioner of revenue has told me that when they receive the bill all they have to do is note on there that its for farm use. She said many companies that lease to churches etc just include a list of which are exempt and which are not My customer number is ******* Invoice number ******* If you need anything further please let me know Thanks ********************* **************
