AAMCOO cooperate has neglected to address my issues on several occasions, and as result, my life was put at risk, and my vehicle was destroyed and returned to me in a worst state than I gave the vehicle to their AAMCO Broomall location.
I made AAMCO Cooperate aware that their AAMCO Broomall franchise
-owner called me outside of business hours and harassed me to remove my google review.
-neglected to provide me invoices with itemized description of parts, part prices, labor hourly rate, and labor hours spent per job.
-neglected to inform me of all the issues going on with my vehicle and thus, I drove a vehicle for months with preexisting hazardous and dangerous unresolved issues.

I’ve given both AAMCO Broomall and Cooperate ample time to make this right and neither have made the attempt.

During a recent second opinion done at *****, it was discovered my transmission parts had dangerously loose bolts (Feb 2023 service); and the ABS module and Transfer case (Sep 2023) were not done properly.
There are codes present that reflects there are still present issues with all the services AAMCO Broomall has claimed to have done properly. In addition, I have a severe oil leaked that was supposed to have been addressed and fixed during my Feb 2023 visit.

AAMCO Broomall trashed my vehicle inside and out. The owner took my key off the premises prior to pick up, so on the day of payment and pick up, we had to wait an additional 3hrs for the owner to return my key to the premises. He didn’t even have the human decency to hand my key over to me in my hand. He left it open to the public on my tire. And once I returned back to AAMCO a 2nd time to retrieve my vehicle, the owner wasn’t there. My front bumper was damaged, and my interior light colored leather had oil stains inside the entire vehicle, on top of all the codes being present. It’s now going to cost me more to get all the problems fixed that AAMCO didn’t address. Please see attachments.

I am looking for a full refund.

Attn: BBB of Greater Philadelphia:  We have reached out
to the operator of the independent AAMCO Franchise in Broomall concerning *** ********’ complaint.  He confirms that his shop replaced the transmission
in her vehicle in January and also charged for the replacement of a fuel pump
in June.  He also reports that there were electrical problems identified
with the vehicle at the time and that his shop attempted to correct those
problems with replacement of an ABS module along with other diagnostics provided at no
charge.  He does not agree that his shop at any time accepted
responsibility for any engine oil leaks in the vehicle or caused any damage to
either the interior of the vehicle or the front bumper.  According to the
AAMCO Broomall operator, he is of the opinion that *** ******** disputed
the original credit card payment for a transfer case and module service and, if that charge has been reversed, he would be under no
obligation for any further repairs at this time.  Nevertheless, AAMCO of Broomall is still willing to assist *** ******** with her electrical issue if she will return the vehicle to them for further evaluation.  Please advise.
      Thanks.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered]

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

AAMCO Cooperate is providing fraudulent information.

1.Neither entities have addressed the police report or damages inflicted on my vehicle.

2.The January servicing for transmission replacement was not done correctly. ***** Cheltenham confirmed several bolts on the transmission were extremely loose, and codes for the transmission are still present (see attached diagnostic test)

      3. The fuel pump done in June did not resolve ANY of the issues my vehicle was brought in for. The owner ***** and cooperate were made aware of this several times. (See text message) The vehicle was returned June 20th and I wasn’t able to retrieve it until Sept 3rd. Which at this time the vehicle was still not running properly and all codes and dashboard warnings were present. Again, both AAMCO Broomall and Cooperate were made aware of this. The fuel pump servicing did NOT fix my issues

      4. The ABS module and Transfer case were not done properly. ***** Cheltenham also confirmed codes came up in diagnostic testing for both parts.

5.Capital1 is currently investigating a false closure of my dispute against AAMCO Broomall charges. Two managers of ******** have confirmed that the case should have never been closed; the receipt provided by AAMCO Broomall is of concern because the date of invoice provided by ***** (9/5/23) does not reflect the date of payment charge (9/3/23) when I can to pick up my vehicle. On 9/3/23 I was never given a final invoice, but instead a copy of a repair order (see attachment) The recipient was fabricated and thus the case with capital has been reopened for further investigation. I have all documents and manager names for reference. Capital1 also has recorded our conversations for quality, and those conversation reflect the same sentiment, there is no proof the reflects case closure. The case is now reopened and ongoing.

      6. Taking the vehicle back to AAMCO is NOT an option or resolution. Over $9000 has been spent and my vehicle still does not run properly and can not pass inspection. The only resolution is a full refund.

      7. AAMCO Broomall has never made me aware of electrical issues. None of my invoices or estimates reflect that. The first time AAMCO mentioned “electrical” issues, is when I attempted to retrieve my vehicle in Sept 2023. AAMCO Broomall had my vehicle for over 4 months and NEVER mentioned electrical issues.

      8. AAMCO has yet to provide labor hourly rates, labor hours spent on service and part numbers. I’ve requested the above numerous times and continue to be ignored

In all, I reject AAMCO cooperates response and am disgusted with their attempt to cover up poor management and poor workmanship. I have absolutely no faith in this company, and I have lost a lot of money attempting to give this company chances to resolve their mistake. Only resolution is a full refund.

      Regards,

      ****** ********

Update: On 15 Dec 2023, ******* *** has officially ruled in our favor regarding the dispute of charges against AAMCO Broomall from 09/02/23. The charged amount $3011 has been credited back to the original credit card use during final payment transaction. Please see attached document.

Still seeking full refund for fuel pump and transmission from AAMCO.

In July 2023, **. ***** contacted our company regarding a transmission service he purchased from the AAMCO Center located in Brentwood MO.  We were informed that *** ***** was experiencing a slipping concern with the transmission.  That facility attempted to reach out to *** ***** to schedule a time to address his concerns.  *********** *** ***** was scheduled to return to that facility on August 10th but he did not return at that time.  After a number of further attempts to contact ********, he did finally return his vehicle there in late September.

Brentwood AAMCO reports that they are currently attempting to address the performance issues with *** ****** vehicle and they regret the ongoing delay in completing those repairs.  Feel free to call me with any questions.

This complaint is against AAMCO's corporate ofc. Over a month ago, I contact AAMCO "customer care" (CC) line to report one of their locations in Houston, TX, and the owner's dishonest business practices. The corp. ofc took my complaint forwarded it to one of its advisors (*******), who assured me that she would investigate the issue & get back to me with her findings by the end of that week. 2 weeks after this, I realized that I hadn't heard from her & began f/up. I left her msgs which she ignored. I finally heard from ******* (ONLY after CC contacted her boss), only to have ******* behave extremely hostile, by yelling at me, and talking over me when I tried to explain the info. she recvd from Houston was incorrect. She made it clear that she didn't want to hear what I had to say & that she was NOT acting in good faith & by losing all objectivity in this matter. I then asked to speak with her boss, who she said was ***** ******** & she would have him give me a call-- which he never did. I re-contacted the ctr again, who forwarded my call to his line at which time I then spoke with him. I explain the situation along with the "unprof. discourteous" behavior of *******. He first gave me a disclaimer of not being a mechanic & would have to contact his techs. He also tried to justify the code I was getting by trying to apply a "blanket" answer that cover ANY & ALL issues that would "absolve" the Houston location of ANY responsibility & wrongdoing. I informed him that that answer would be "unacceptable". He assured me that he would investigate by contacting the Houston location in addition to his in-house techs. & that he would get back to me the next day. That was 2 weeks ago; ** ******** has NEVER & yet to contact me. I began calling all last week & was met with extreme "hostility" from his team. This director is avoiding custs. by not f/up n the hopes that WE will become frustrated with his non-response by giving up & cease to contact him & his team.

****************** was a patron of one of our independently owned and operated franchise locations in Houston, TX.  We attempted to assist in meditating her complaint with our franchisee but the customer wanted more than deemed reasonable in her proposed resolutions.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered]

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: Not only is this reply "vague", it is also untruthful.  While this corporate office did take my complaint, they NEVER made ANY attempt to assist and/or mediate.  In order to have done that, they would have had to follow-up -- which they NEVER DID -- and offer some type of resolution; which again, they didn't do!  So, HOW can they claim to have mediated when NOTHING was done or offered!  Their franchise chose to do NOTHING; this corporate office followed suit and has done the EXACT same thing -- NOTHING.

And HOW is expecting someone (a business) to DO what they said they would do -- such as FOLLOW UP -- be considered "unreasonable"??  Also HOW is expecting a business to DO and deliver what they CLAIM to be in business for, not to mentioned what they were PAID TO DO -- how is THAT deem "unreasonable"??  This business took my money for a service that they didn't DELIVER ON!  And once it was brought to their attention, they (Corporate AND their franchise) REFUSE to correct what they were PAID to fix!  So again, how is THAT "deemed unreasonable"??

Please NOTE (and be clear for the record):  This corporate office has NOT made ANY attempt to contact me BEFORE or SINCE I've filed this BBB Complaint.  So, their claim of attempting to "mediate" is FALSE and an outright LIE.

Also, why would it have taken them 6 months to respond to this complaint?  You (BBB) have been trying to reach them (as I have) for the last 6 months!  The response you've gotten -- and how long it has taken -- is the EXACT response I've been getting before I got you involved.  So, this goes to show the type of "customer service" they offer to their customers and should also show HOW they treat their customers, how they respond to issues presented to them by their customers, and how corporate and their franchise "clearly" DOES NOT take customer complaints SERIOUSLY.

If the corporate office -- after ALL THIS TIME (6 MONTHS) -- is unable to provide a solution for their franchise MESSUP, and continue to REFUSE to follow-up, as they originally agreed to do (when I contacted them), then it is no more than fair and reasonable that I be REFUNDED my money  for their franchise MESSUP -- more than 6 months ago!  If they were unsuccessful in repairing the issue I brought my car in for -- NOT TO MENTION what I PAID them for -- I should be refunded my money to take my car elsewhere to have a COMPETENT -- RESPONSIVE automotive shop repair the issue CORRECTLY.  Regards,

      Dear BBB:

I have had a lot of things going on at this time and have not had a chance to follow up on this.  IN addition, in light of the upcoming holidays and how much leeway and extraordinary time that was given to the Business to reply to my complaint made more than 6 months ago, I would like to request some additional time to respond to the additional information provided.  Please consider leaving this complaint "open" allowing me time to provide a response to the last message received from the Business.

      Sincerely,

In February I took my truck in to have my transmission repaired because it wouldn't go in reverse. When the work was complete I picked my truck up and the same day I noticed truck wasn't picking up speed or going into gear. I contacted their customer service and they said I had warranty on it and could bring it back. They also recommended I drive on the highway to make sure the transmission fluid was hot. It has now been over 2 weeks since my truck has been in their shop. They discovered the problem was I had power going into the front but the not rear. Since then I have not received any additional information about the repairs or a timeline of when it could expect to pick it back up. I've just been told by the repair person that they are swamped with work for other customers.
