Their work is far from being that of professional engineers. They are careless and their work lacks quality. Worst of all, they didn't put the lid back on our used septic tank...our toddler came within feet of it. We were told several times during sales "5 hours of crane time is included in set up" and without discussing it with us, changed the type of set up and charged us $3,500. She also quietly increased several connection fees.Owner seemingly made up a policy after we leased a fuel tank even though ridgecrest does not provide a tank. I had to hire another contractor for hvac after ridgecrest was supposed to "do it all." They installed the furnace roof vent, which leaked.Warranty service was dragged out for months with many issues unresolved. I have asked for copies of paperwork I was told I signed and was ignored. I've asked about scheduling and was ignored. I had concerns about our basement that were never turned over to the sub contractor. After 8 months I found out directly from the sub contractor that they were never made aware of the issues. We are left with a leaking basement door (they gave a few sloppy and ineffective attempts to fix without ever resetting it as they originally said they needed to do). We also have an unsafe deck due to leaning steps and a heaved floor. After the third time of trying to get this taken care of, I was told to "put a level on it," yet months prior I had sent them photos where the end of a level is shown raised off the center of the deck due to the severity of the heave. We have had issues with both toilets since day one...and were told to just buy new ones days after moving in.We also discovered that ridgecrest did not complete part of the job, as they did not install ventilation for our stove. They have not called to come look at it as they said they would. The manufacturer did look at it and confirmed it should have been done by ridgecrest. I have since told ridgecrest this twice, and they have not responded.Ridgecrest Home Sales LLC

In response to the review left at the Better Business Bureau, RidgeCrest Home Sales (to be referred to as RCHS) has compiled the following to respond to each claim individually. 1.) They (RCHS) didn't put the lid back on our used septic tank...our toddler came within feet of it. RCHS's contracted excavator was working on site while no representative from RCHS was present. Once notified of children on the active jobsite, the excavator promptly replaced the lid. 2.) We were told several times during sales "5 hours of crane time is included in set up" and without discussing it with us, changed the type of set up and charged us $3,500. RCHS initially provided the customer with a budget sheet that detailed expenses, including a line item for either a crane or roll on set, at an expense of $4,000. Upon completing a site visit, it was determined that the site was conducive to a roll on set and the customer was charged a reduced cost of $3,500. 3.) She also quietly increased several connection fees. Owner seemingly made up a policy after we leased a fuel tank even though ridgecrest does not provide a tank. I had to hire another contractor for hvac after ridgecrest was supposed to "do it all." Customer was informed to pick a propane provider and RCHS would coordinate connections to the home with the chosen provider. The customer chose to purchase their own tank rather than lease it, and their chosen propane provider did not offer connection services. RCHS coordinated connections with an outside entity and customer was charged for this due to the change in the scope of work. 4.) They installed the furnace roof vent, which leaked. RCHS was not made aware of any leaks at the furnace vent. However, upon starting the furnace, it was discovered that the vent had an improper slope that prevented the furnace from operating as intended. This was addressed the same day it was discovered. 5.) Warranty service was dragged out for months with many issues unresolved. Warranty service from both the manufacturer, and RCHS, are typically weeks out for minor issues, cosmetic items, and other warranty work that doesn’t prevent you from living in your home. While it’s everyone’s goal to complete all service visits in a timely manner, that’s not always feasible. Urgent issues, such as the furnace venting listed above, are immediately addressed. 6.) I have asked for copies of paperwork I was told I signed and was ignored. Copies of all signed documents are provided in the homeowner book given to every customer at key turnover. 7.) I've asked about scheduling and was ignored. RCHS has been respondent throughout the entire warranty process. Most responses were completed in writing by email with a record of the dates and times they were sent. 8.) I had concerns about our basement that were never turned over to the sub contractor. After 8 months I found out directly from the sub contractor that they were never made aware of the issues. RCHS contacted the foundation subcontractor about the customer’s initial report of small air pockets on the face of the poured concrete walls. These are typical and do not affect the structural integrity of the foundation. The subcontractor stated there was nothing that can be done about the small voids left by trapped air during the pouring process. The homeowner was made aware of this response. Months later it was reported that the basement windows had leaks. The foundation subcontractor was informed and returned to make repairs. 9.) We are left with a leaking basement door (they gave a few sloppy and ineffective attempts to fix without ever resetting it as they originally said they needed to do). The door was pulled and reset during a service visit in October 2023. The door was then additionally caulked during a follow up visit in January 2024. RCHS was not informed of any additional leaks after that visit. 10.) We also have an unsafe deck due to leaning steps and a heaved floor. After the third time of trying to get this taken care of, I was told to "put a level on it," yet months prior I had sent them photos where the end of a level is shown raised off the center of the deck due to the severity of the heave. Settling had occurred with the deck and was rectified and re-leveled by our crew during a service visit in October 2023. 11.) We have had issues with both toilets since day one...and were told to just buy new ones days after moving in. The homeowner reported that both toilets had issues and were not flushing. Upon inspection, the elongated toilets that were ordered with the home were both flushing and working properly. It was discovered that her small children were sitting at the front edge of the toilets and solids were being deposited on the elongated portion of the bowl and being left behind when liquids were flushed. RCHS recommended replacing the elongated toilets with round toilets that may work better for their family. 12.) We also discovered that ridgecrest did not complete part of the job, as they did not install ventilation for our stove. They have not called to come look at it as they said they would. The manufacturer did look at it and confirmed it should have been done by ridgecrest. I have since told ridgecrest this twice, and they have not responded. Ventilation of the stove was not completed during the set up of the home and was later discovered by the customer. RCHS paid the home manufacturer to complete this venting at a time when they were already scheduled to be at the home for warranty service. The customer was asked to verify the work was completed and she responded by email on 3/19/24 that it was completed.Review fromJacqueine M.

This company is terrible! Please, for your own good, do not consider using them. They have lied to us, not completed the project and done awful work and they will not one up to any of it. We are not looking for financial reimbursement or anything except the job to be done correctly and to be completed.Ridgecrest Home Sales LLC

ID #****** Reply to Comment:You purchased a manufactured home from RidgeCrest Home Sales in June 2023. You contracted us to deliver and set the home, install skirting, and build front and rear steps to code. You oversaw all remaining site work. After numerous in-person meetings, emails, phone calls and site visits where we reviewed exactly how your home would be constructed, along with verbal and written verification of all standard and optional features selected, you provided your signatures approving the home order as shown. Documentation of exactly how your home was to be built was provided to you on multiple occasions. We have many emails where you were advised what to expect for the home build, and your reply, in many cases, was OK, thank you. After living in the home for over eight weeks, you have now indicated you did not get what you ordered and have demanded financial restitution. You indicated if we did not comply, you would slander us on all social media sites. After careful review of the home order, our company presented documents to you confirming the home was built per your specifications and written approval, and no compensation would be provided. At that point, you, and your family members, whom have no correlation with RidgeCrest, began an assault on our companys integrity on ******* multiple social media sites, and the Better Business Bureau. RidgeCrest Home Sales did absolutely nothing wrong regarding your home order and all company procedures were followed. You have yet to present us with documentation that supports your narrative that you received the incorrect options in your home. You will not be receiving any type of compensation and I feel the best way to proceed at this point is for legal representatives to determine whom, if applicable, may be at fault. *********************** OwnerJacqueine M.

This business continues to lie. We have not in any way demand financial restitution, we instead requested a conversation around the differences between what we discussed to be delivered vs. what we received. We would just like to have the things that we thought we were getting. Also, it is untrue that we indicated we would slander you on social media. What we said is that we would like to come to resolution so that we weren't backed into leaving negative reviews. Slander, by definition is the action of making a false statement damaging to a person's reputation. None of the statements we made were false.Your treatment towards us has been very discriminatory based on stereotypes you have about neurodiversity. You have been ignorant, intolerant, and stigmatizing. As you continue to gaslight us and attempt to manipulate us into questioning our experience and our memory by repeatedly insisting that events and discussions never happenedeven though they didwe can see exactly what you are doing. We all know the intent of gaslighting really is to cause confusion and sow the seeds of doubt and it is a very coercive and controlling tactic. We had so many questions and continue to ask them from you. We stated numerous times that the only documentation that we received to be sure that the items that we discussed and agreed upon were properly transferred and recorded was very technical and industry specific in nature. We asked many times to get further clarification. We were told, using high pressure tactics that if we didnt sign, it would delay the delivery of our home by months or more, so we signed. We assumed that we could trust your staff and your sons word to deliver as promised. We did not expect to be lied to or to have discussions that definitely happened, with multiple members of your staff there, be denied. This shows that there is a systemic issue and directions given to deny, deny, deny on your end.
