    My fiance and I put a deposit down on this place back in May of 2022. We were going to have a wedding here and spend the weekend with a few friends/ family. Our wedding date and date of rental for venue and hotel rooms are for May 6th 2023 and that same weekend for that date. That is 8 (ALMOST 9) months from NOW! (08/08/2022)Due to some new health issues of family members we have to cancel. Plus there was a time that we were constantly trying to get a hold of them and they wouldn't answer emails or phone calls.And "The Inn at Westwynd" is having no remorse and will not give us a refund for ANY of it. They state that it says on their website that they don't give back refunds for deposits for cancellations. I haven't seen that in any of the attached documents we have recieved from the Inn keeper. We have put down a 250$ deposit on the wedding venue and have reserved 5 rooms for family members who may have been able to come. They physically told us that we could've used the money from any of the reserved rooms towards our total at the end if family didn't make it or they decided not to rent the rooms.Now we're are out 375$ that they refuse to give back. We are honestly just looking for the refund back. We would understand if it was the week of the event that we were cancelling but this is absurd! This is over 8 months in advanced of cancellation notice!All we want is a refund and we will be ok.

     Our response directly to the complaint is as follows.

    "The guest was advised upon making the reservation that a $25 non-refundable fee is charged to the card placed on file for  each room.  We do offer to use this deposit as a credit for a future stay should a cancellation occur. Our $250 wedding deposit is also stated to be non-refundable at the point of making the reservation due to securing vendors and their own non-refundable deposits. We had contacted our vendors to reserve the date for this couple and incurred their deposits.

    Our cancellation policy is noted on our website at *********************************************************************** and all guests must agree to these terms and conditions when they book their time with us."
