I purchased SafePaw last year and sprinkled on my driveway and walkway - I noticed last year my driveway was crumbling up where I threw the pellets - I actually thought I was going crazy since this was labeled to be safe for concrete. This past week I threw some more down and for sure now my driveway and walkway is crumbling up where it was put down. I'm looking now to have to replace my walkway and part of my driveway due to the crumbling concrete. do not buy SafePaw

      Business Response

In regard to the complaint, we did not receive any formal complaints from the customer and had we, we would have been in touch to rectify this matter immediately. Our policy is to gather the history of the customer's driveway, as there are many overlooked factors that the homeowner may not be aware of. Some of these factors are related to the age of the concrete, prior products used prior to Safe Paw, if it was sealed or not, and many other factors.

Furthermore, on our product label, we state to test the product in a small area before use and to not use on concrete less than one year old. We do not have exact installation dates or information, which makes this complaint potentially false, as we had no recourse without prior notice.

Also, we write hundreds of concrete safety articles about the use of our product to help customers to learn about ice melt safety. More than ANY other company that produces ice melt, we do our best to  make the customer aware.

      Thanks!

I am rejecting this response because: My driveway is over 2 years old and I do not like the idea that the manufacturer feel I would make something up or it was a fake response-  The manufacturer made sure to put in very small print what could

happen to your concrete.  Who would think if it is safe for pets it would crumble your driveway.

      Regards,

      *****,

Please reach out to me directly so we can get detailed information. I am attaching our incident report for you to fill out. Also, we would like pictures and your receipt of the product and of your driveway installation. These are honest and respectful things to ask. There are many reasons a driveway can crumble when any ice melt is used depending on how the driveway was installed and if it was sealed and other factors. We write many articles on this to support customers who hopefully look into proper care of their driveway based on the type of installation. Most people do not look into this.

Also, I could not find you in our email searches. If you truly have not tried to reach out to us directly, we do not understand why you went as far as the BBB to avoid a resolution with our company. We hope to hear directly from you moving forward.

Email me at ******@gaiausa.com so we can work together.

I am rejecting this response because:
You attach a form for me to fill out - no where to send this information -  The original complaint is back from February and you want exact dates -  my complaint was make people aware of what can happen to your driveway for something

that suppose to be safe for pets.  You request a receipt I'm not sure who I bought the item from last year.  It is your product and you are only explaining about the fine print on the bottle
