    Feb 18 2024 checked out of comfort inn after staying there on and off for about two months, had to go to the emergency department on February 17 not only me but my two chil**en and was treated poorly when I reported the incident the room they had me in They moved me right next-door to the room they took me out of that had a door that went into the same room, they took me out of in that room had signs of bedbugs and I also reported it blood stains on the sheets and they refused to give me another room never called exterminator They called the maintenance guy nor did they tape the room off and was not offered a refund.I had to wash all my clothes and put them in bags before I left had bite marks all over me. I have videos and pictures. ** prescribed me and my kids ********** and mometasome furoator

    We are in receipt of the complaint from ********* ******** for her stay at our hotel on 2/14/24-2/18/24.   Attached are copies of her stay information and final bill showing she stayed all 4 nights. 

    As General Manager, I was present when Ms. ******** came to the desk.  What was shown as "bite marks" was more of a rash not indicative of bed bug bite patterns.  No "bite marks" were shown to us on any of the children.   Also, her complaint was made on the third day of her stay.   Bed bugs will not wait two days to start biting.   They will bite as soon as they sense a host. 

    Any time a complaint for insects/bed bugs is received there is a strict protocol that must be followed.   Immediately upon complaint, myself and the Maintenance Manager accompanied Ms. ******** up to room *************************************** her presence.   No dead or live bed bugs or bed bug residue was found.   She had stated there was blood on the sheets.  However, that was found to be dye from the candy the kids were eating.   Blood stains will turn brown from oxidation and these stains were bright red in color.  

    Ms. ******** was offered a change of rooms and room 305 which is next door was available.   She accepted this offer and stayed the remaining two nights.  

    Room 303 was not treated due to no evidence being found.   Furthermore, we received no complaints from consecutive occupants of the room which would solidify that they were not present.   Bed bugs will not go away without treatment.   They will only become a bigger issue.

    At no time during the past year did Ms. ******** reach out to request a refund nor did she dispute the original transaction with her credit card.   On our end, this complaint was settled with an acceptable resolution at the time of incident.   Further, since no evidence was found we will not offer a refund.
