Transaction date was May 18th or 20th I knew the mechanic from the shop and was leaving for Paris in 2 days. I gave a $1000 deposit to the shop for paint order and deposit. The total transaction was going to be $2000. The vehicle needed repairs, some dents pulled and a new paint. I was originally told one week and it would be ready when I got back. Then when I got back I was getting told “it wasn’t done”, the “paint wasn’t in”, “we pulled the car in”, “yea it’s going great” but after one month of the shop railroading me I decided to ask more questions and was just told to wait it was going to be a bit for the paint so I was naive and waited. When I finally received my car I picked it up in the end of August and was told by the shop owner “he was getting my deposit ready and would message me when done so”…it has now been almost 6 months since my car was in the shop and only 1 month since I picked it up. Upon picking the car up the new fender was put on as well as the bumper cover. However they were not painted, none of the dents were pulled and none of the work that was suppose to be done was done. This was the power steering pump in the car and timing belt. So I had no power steering taking it home. After having several text interactions between the boss he still seems to have an excuse to why my deposit isn’t ready.
