The contractor was hired because of the mandated sewer work through the Johnstown ***************************** They bid for the job after a site inspection. They opened a hole in the existing sewer line and ran a liner through to meet water authority requirements. They also ran a line from my kitchen sink to the main sewer line. When the set that line in place the dislocated the sink drain and so the first time I drained my sink it ran on to the kitchen floor instead of down the drain- they did fix that. In order to run the liner through they dug a hole in the front yard to access the sewer line. They only partially filled it in. The first rain, water entered my basement through a drain in the middle of the basement. This was because water frowned through the hole in the old sewer line and along the liner up to a drain that was not connected to the new sewer liner. They came out an instead of fixing the problem by plugging the hole in the old sewer line, they just partially filled the hole further. With the recent heavy rains the basement flooded again through the same unconnected drain. They came out and instead of fixing the source of the problem, they plugged the unconnected drain with concrete. This slowed the flooding but water seeped by the plug and the basement is still flooding.
