      April 18, 2022 we purchased my sisters headstone from Moskal Reid - In October 2023 Hindman Funeral Home bought Moskal's assets which included my sisters headstone and the installation of the headstone- The headstone was paid in full- I spoke with Courtney at Hindman in the fall of 2023 she confirmed that they had the headstone & they will be installing it. I spoke with Courtney on December 4, 2023 she said they're trying to have it installed before Christmas, was not installed. Called February 2, 2024 Courtney said it should be installed in April. It is now 2 years since my sister has passed. Called again April 30, 2023, spoke with a different female that informed me that they recently installed another one of "Moskal's" headstones & that my sisters should be installed in the summer. This is unacceptable, per Rusty T***** the stone was delivered to Moskal Funeral Home August 14, 2023, Hindman took responsibility October 2023. Our mother passed away December 2022 & her stone was taken care of in the spring of 2023 ( we used a different business for her stone) there is no reason my sisters headstone is not installed already, it was paid for in full on April 18, 2022. We should not have to wait any longer to have the stone installed.

      the family has a legitimate gripe but it isn’t with Hindman Funeral Home or any of my staff.  Their money was stolen by Moskal-Reid along with about 40 some other families who purchased monuments and footers without services being provided. Those are not business assets I purchased but families I chose to help out of a bad situation at my own expense-of those 40 some monument families only 4 stones are yet to be set-all of which we are waiting on private cemeteries to complete the footer so they can be installed. The footers have been ordered since last fall-Moskal Reid accepted the money for them over a full year before any of our involvement and never ordered the footer. *** ****’s is a small privately owned church run cemetery that relies on a caretaker that oversees close to 30 other small cemeteries and has not installed the footer yet as of today. We have called multiple times all documented but I am unable to attach here in the hospital from my phone.  Realistically looking at it *** ****’s had a limited window to get the footer in with the temps being conducive to concrete curing and not creating other issues. This spring brings it’s owns issues with rain and whipping the cemeteries back in shape from the winter-no stones get set or footers poured over the winter. I have literally 0 control on when the footer will be installed, nor am I permitted to install the footer at *** ****’s.  I am not making excuses for them, but more so being realistic with expectations. That cemetery didn’t steal their money either and unfortunately like so many other church run cemeteries does not have the staffing to handle the amount of work needing done. When *** ****’s gets the footer installed we will set the monument as soon as scheduling and weather permits-not because we were contracted with to do so or contractually bound to carry out. It will be done right, on my dime, and  I truly hope this family appreciates the time, expense, and effort that went into fixing something Hindman Funeral Homes had nothing to do with creating.
