A & S Home Renovations LLC was contracted on December 29, 2023 to perform a full renovation on my home in ************. I told ***** (owner) that I wanted it pristine and modern and I wanted to sell by summer's end before the market goes dead. He said he would complete the work in 3/4 months and showed me pictures of work that he supposedly had done, but A & S work is not even close. So I now doubt ***** did the work in those pictures. The original contract totaled $66,350. Then I decided to upgrade the second floor bathroom as well which cost an additional $7,400. This brought the new total renovation to $73,750. ***** ******* has been paid $83,458 to date. The $9,708 (83,458-73,750) difference is money paid to subcontract the work out for the stair railing $4,000, carpet install $2,300 and 2 shower glasses $3,000. The shower glass was not installed and weve asked ***** to return the money and he has not. It is now Nov 9, 2024 and the work has not been completed. I live out of state and when asked to see the work, ***** would show small areas as if all were done. However, upon arrival we found that nothing was completed and the minimal work that was completed is sub par. He installed the new flooring and carpet before completion of other work and did not protect. Agreed to skim coat, sand and smooth walls, ceilings, baseboards window panes. Nothing has been done to window panes or baseboards. Walls were skimmed but painted prematurely. Now the walls are dusty, scrapes, scratches, dents and spots on them. ***** said kitchen cabinets would be removed, cleaned, prepped, painted and rehung. A & S spray painted the cabinets while on the walls and now there's paint on the walls and ceiling. Bathrooms not completed, electrical outlets and light switches incomplete and hanging out of the walls, doors not installed, floor uneven, drywall glued not nailed. NOTHING IS COMPLETE. *** had two contractors look at the house and both said that everything has to be done over.
