    Nov 2024 trying to resolve hot/cold water shower mix not holding. Contractor looked at shower valve regulator and ordered replacement cartridge. Pd $400.00 did not give me a written invoice, statement or estimate. After calls to contractor, March 2024 contractor replaced hot/cold water valve regulator but left lever broken and spinning around.***** was working when they arrived. Pd $400.00. NO written invoice, statement or estimate. Asked for pd invoices noting labor cost and cost of part and part #. Received invoices for each of the two visits with the total amount only. Repeated requests for corrected invoices ignored. He would never give me the part # nor the cost of the part. ***** still broken, shower still not working. I contacted ***** the shower manufacturer who worked with me to problem solve and gave me name of another ******* and ordered a new lever. Second ******* saw that a ring was missing from the original lever causing it to spin. Fixed it. Shower hot/cold water mix still not working. Second ******* returned on July 18, 2024, took photos and spoke with a Grohe representative. The thermostatic cartridge had never been replaced. It was the original, heavily calcified with lime. I paid the first ******* for work and a part that was never replaced.

    Since filed complaint another plumber recommended by Grohe the  manufacturer of the part has resolved the problem. At least no problems so far. We now believe ***** Plumbing  did install a new thermostat cartridge. But after installing it his men left the shower lever broken and no way to confirm if original problem had been resolved.Left shower not working Properly. Thru new plumber learned orig workers  had  put put lever back  without a ring. New plumber repaired lever, replaced another part and had conversation with *****. July new plumber replaced thermostat cartridge again with one Grohe sent free plus two free new levers not used. During these months ***** Plumbing reluctant to confirm part # and cost of product they installed. I learned in this process that when plumber calls ***** direct and establishes client was original owner of part - Grohe will work to problem solve and will send  needed parts free. After filed complaint with BBB and  after new plumber seemed to resolve problem - ***** plumbing confirmed they inserted new part purchased from ********* plumbing  supply company, ***** Plumbing charged me $875.00 for 2-3 visits from Nov 2023- jan/Feb 2024 that I pd directly to workers on site with no paperwork. New plumber came several times -spoke with ***** and never presented bill. After job completed spoke  received and paid a bill for $125.00
