On 8/24/24, I travelled over 3 hours to purchase a mini German Schnauzer for $895 from a breeder named **** ********, ********************************************* After seeing the 12 week old puppy, I was told he had a 4 mo. old female for $695. I asked to see her & was speechless as to her appearance & extreme fear. She was physically in shambles, obviously never groomed in 4 months & had difficulty standing, trying to stretch her legs when I tried to put her down on a leash, something she never experienced before. I knew I had to rescue her from this horrific situation, paying Mr. **** $700. From the time I brought her home, I had her groomed & multiple visits to the vet. Besides having a fear of every aspect of life outside the barn she called home for the first four months of her life, she had an unbelievable case of ear mites, ******************* I have spent an extensive amount of money to make her healthy. The unsanitary living conditions that Mr. **** kept this beautiful puppy is a disgrace &, in my opinion, criminal & cruelty to animals. My fear is that all the puppies in that barn that Mr. **** bred are all infested with these medical conditions. He should not be allowed to continue to breed any further dogs.Initial Complaint

I drove 3 hours away thinking I was buying a golden doodle. I ended up in *********, ** to a farm that was a puppy mill. My daughter was so excited to get a new puppy. The dog we paid for was not the same dog advertised on greenfieldpuppies.com this site is a scam and scams innocent people (who are looking for a companion) out of money. My dog ended up being ill and I think mentally not there. This site is full of Amish people trying to get a pay day ! Do not buy any puppies from this site. They write their own reviews and tell you the dog was vet checked and shots were up to date, when in reality theyve never stepped foot inside a veterinarys office. BIG SCAM !!Initial Complaint

I purchased a puppy listed as a miniature poodle from **** and ***************** in March of this year. I flew across many states to get the puppy. She was listed at $795 originally, and I asked the breeder to come down on the price given that I needed to travel. They declined. After purchasing her, the puppy's littermate's price was decreased from $795 to $695. After I told them that I purchased my airfare, they then told me I would need to pay an additional fee of $60 to have somebody meet me at the airport with the puppy despite not originally telling me that this would incur an additional fee. Once I was home with her, my initial vet visits with my puppy revealed that she was ill with ***** and also suffering from bladder control issues, which have yet to be resolved despite medical treatments and surgery. I have incurred excessive vet bills totaling nearly $1500 to get my puppy in good health, and her bladder is still not better. All in all, I have spent over $3000 on a dog that I have only had for three months and who is not fully healthy, nor is she the breed I paid for.I went to the breeders webpage recently to investigate further, and I see that "*****" is no longer listed as one of their previously sold puppies, nor is her littermate. There is a new litter of puppies advertised which are being sold for only $500. The breeders are being intentionally misleading, and they have blatantly scammed me out of money for a dog that is not the breed I was initially told. This breeder needs to be removed from this website so that they do not continue doing this to other families, and I need to know what Greenfield Puppies is going to do to rectify this situation. I have followed up with both the breeder and Greenfield puppies multiple times and have received responses from neither, despite Greenfields policy that they will mediate issues between customers and unresponsive breeders.Initial Complaint

I purchased a puppy from ************************* Kutztown, PA on 9/29/23. On 10/2 she was taken to the vet and was diagnosed with Parvo. Tried to contact the breeder via phone, email and app to notify her of our puppies illness. Since then she has disconnected her phone # and no longer has her email. I have sent 2 emails to Greenfield Puppies with no respond. Our puppy is still in the hospital and will cost us thousands of dollars. We were scammed by *************************. We have a heart and would never let our puppy just die because the so called breeder is heartless. We need help!!Initial Complaint

We bought a puppy through the Greenfield website from *********************** on Monday July 3, 2023. We love the puppy named ******, but it had a parasite when we brought it home. The vet had to give us meds on Wednesday July 5th for it. Loose stool, nausea upset stomach. All we ask is to be reimbursed for vet fees which is over $300. And we get no response from breeder ***** ******. I’m sure the whole litter is infected because the vet said it’s highly contagious. Other puppies had diarrhea when we went on Monday. Greenfield has a vet checked and health guarantee listed. It would be nice to honor that.Initial Complaint

I purchased a ********** puppy from *******************, a member of Greenfield Puppies. When I made contact with him, I was told that none of the males were spoken for. I immediately drove to their farm .After driving an hour and 1/2he went in his barn and brought me a puppy and left to do his chores. I then had to deal with his wife. She took my money, gave no receipt or anything. I took the dog to the vet to find that the dog has a heart condition. The website states that they were vet checked, health guarantee and more. The dog was put on medication for intestinal parasites.Business Response

Greenfield puppies represents themselves with reviews, however they failed to post my review therefore they are directly involved with the support of their customers and should be held liable. I purchased a French bulldog and drove 6 hours to the breeders home in paradise pa named **** and ********************* after staying in a hotel and arriving the next morning, I was told of several health issues including a knee that pops out according to the vet check and three hernias. My son was waiting and I did not gave the heart to tell my ten year old son we didn't get the puppy. The breeders know it was for my young son, and said nothing about the health issues in any way, knowing that after I travelled I would probably buy the puppy if my son was with me as I said he was excited.I was not offered s discount in anyway and the health guarantee was changed from One year to one month. As my son held the puppy in his hands with a smile I just bought the puppy and could not hurt my son as we recently lost a pet as we told the breeders. These heartless breeders should not be allowed on greenfield and I will tend to my expenses as I will keep this puppy and endure the expenses but the fact is these people are very dishonest. I thought the Amish were known for being honest, I guess not I'm Naive.Business Response

We received a review from this customer that did not accurately reflect the experience provided by the breeder. The breeder of this puppy has tried to reconcile this situation with the customer however the customer is refusing to engage and communicate. Our company stands behind our review process and only post reviews that are fair and accurate to both breeder and customer.Initial Complaint

I purchased a puppy from them on 3/14 and took the dog to the pet hospital on Saturday 3/18 with a kidney infection and pneumonia. He is in critical condition currently fighting for his life. The breeder doesn’t answer the phone now. She gave me a health report saying the puppy was in good health but he clearly isn’t. I just spend over 2k on medical costs and now the estimate is another 7k for further care and he has a 50/50 chance of survival.Initial Complaint

I purchased a puppy off of Greenfieldpuppies.com from breeder *************************** or **** ****** as she appears to go by both names. Phone ************ email ************************ She advertised the dog as a Bernese Mountain Dog mix. I picked up the puppy who she had named ****** on 12/30/2022. When I was there I asked to see the mom dog but she said she wasn't there and she showed me a picture of a Bernese Mountain dog. I paid $895 thinking I was getting a Bernese mix. I did DNA through ****** on the puppy who I've now named *****. The results came back as 90% Australian Shepherd and 10% Collie. She falsely advertised the breed of this dog. I have reached out to her via text and email with no response. I would like to be refunded my money as I didn't get what I paid for. I went out looking for a specific breed of Bernese Mountain dog and this is not what she provided to me or to the other people she sold the other 7 puppies to.
