    I had a storage unit with Midgard Storage located in Columbia SC for over 3yrs. I was in the process of moving out the week of Thanksgiving 2023 and when I went to my storage and open the unit my storage was in shambles. Somebody had broken into my storage stole totes that had clothing in them for my business and personal items, that cost me well over 5000.00 plus in loss from them stealing from me. whoever broke into my unit picked the lock and once they got done they locked it back so i had no idea someone had broken into it. The storage company REQUIRED you to have insurance to use their units, so I had no choice but to pay for it. this company Cornerstone had spoken with the manager of the storage company and told them I was not the only 1 that had got broken into and this company DENIED everybody claim that was filed. the crazy thing is everybody storage unit locks was picked and it's mighty strange that this insurance company deny my claim and tell me I cant take them to court and since I didnt have evidence of damage to the unit they was not going to pay me. Something need to be done about this company because they are taking people monies knowing the customer don't have a choice when using this storage company. I'm not a crook and whoever this was is a crook and know how to pick locks. This company need to be investigated long with Midgard because I think it was an inside job. I need for someone from the BBB to let me know if there's anything i can do
