We called them for repairs to a leaking sewer stack on Jan 23. We signed up in advance for a yearly plan to receive 15% off the bill and to waive the initial fee. They said the process could take two days , depending on what they found in the walls. On the 25th one plumber came for the repair. We helped him some because he was in the basement and needed to have water running from the second and third floor on occasion and he was able to complete the work in less than 7 hours. He replaced cast iron pipe from the basement to the second floor. We later measured all the pipe pieces and priced them on line. Even with allowing for a considerable markup by the company, after doubling the cost of materials the price charged would equal approximately $875 dollars per hour in labor. We contacted the company on 3 different occasions and requested an itemized bill since our insurance company said that that is one of their expectations. The plumbing company said they do everything by the job which isn't logical if the job can take a huge difference in time and materials. We are in our 70's and have never run into that kind of unbelievable charge with no given explanation. We hope you can help us to obtain an itemized bill with a logical explanation
