    I made a deposit on a bath to a walk-in shower conversion. Another contractor's bid was 6K lower with better design and execution, I asked for my money back before any materials were purchased. Now ***** Heller won't return my money or my phone calls. It turns out I wasn't the only victim of this fly-by-night company operating out of a house.

    In February 2022 we contracted with Heller to build a garage addition, the project to begin in 3 months and take 3 months to complete. Work did not begin for 8 months, and was not completed 10 months later when they left the job incomplete, in spite of us meeting every payment obligation. Multiple fake reasons were given for not doing the work, including that the stucco contractor would not be available for another 6 months. This proved false when we were able to independently hire the same contractor to do our stucco within 2 weeks. We asked Hellers to reimburse us for the $15K we had to spend beyond our contracted amount in order to get the job completed. They paid nothing. We sued them in District Court and the jujdge awarded us $12k (the maximum allowed at that court). In spite of that judgment, the Hellers still have not paid us. Beware!!!
