    This newspaper has telemarketers solicit people by phone to subscribe. I subscribed by phone and gave the representative my credit card. Almost a month has gone by and I’ve heard nothing from the paper. I am supposed to get daily delivery of the newspaper. This is a very poor way to do business. Now I have to cancel my credit card.

    A fraudulent bill was sent to my son, who is a minor, which contained an account number and our home address for a newspaper subscription. No newspaper delivery has been made at any time. No subscription was ever requested. This bill is clearly designed to entrap people, thinking they have a subscription that needs to be paid and with that, the newspaper gains a subscriber. I called the customer service and gave the account number. They verified it is an active subscription with payment due. I explained that no newspaper has ever been delivered because there was no subscription ever requested. The service agent backtracked and said it was an account set up by a telemarketer and the telemarketer would be reported. Multiple levels of deceit and intent to defraud. This activity should be made public.
