On July 14, 2022 my vehicle was taken to the auto shop. ****** (my auto insurance company) gave an repair estimate of $3,308.08 . I made a few attempts in person to follow up, and no repairs were getting completed. The staff kept giving me the run around making excuses as to why job was not getting completed. 08/02/22, ****** notified me that an additional repair supplement of $1732.29 was added to the original estimate by ACCC. 08/03/22, I went to the shop, and nothing was rectified. 09/02/22, ****** notified me about a 2nd repair supplement of $2,494.42 that was added. Finally, 09/03/22, I attempted to remove my vehicle from their premises, and while there, I was able to view my vehicle to discover that a few of my original parts were missing, in which was then added to the entire repair supplement cost by ACCC. I then contacted ****** to try and put a stop to any further charges. ****** said that there was nothing that could be done on their end, because the checks were already being issued to ACCC. A staff member said that the vehicle could not be picked up until the following week. "Dost" name of (mechanic). ******, **** (front desk assoc)About a week later, I took the vehicle to *** **** (**** **************** *****, ###-###-####) for them to verify the missing parts and labor needed for my vehicle.I am now forced to deal with the burden of finding and paying for missing auto parts out of my own pocket.

    Business Response

    Date: 11/01/2022

This response must be framed in regards to what actually happened during the repairs to this vehicle as well as its prior condition. This is a former totaled vehicle [salvage] that was only partially rebuilt and left in a dangerous state. The vehicle owner acquired this car and was having second thoughts when we pointed out all the damage around this vehicle. There is damage to various systems as well as frame damage. Given the amount of uneven rust throughout the vehicle it may also have flood damage. How this vehicle passed a salvage inspection is beyond us.

He had wanted us to report some of this damage to the insurance company as related to the collision. We could not and would not do this. The vehicle owner was beyond distraught when he learned of the poor condition of his car and the true extent of his damages. The vehicle owner pleaded with us for a discount to help him generate additional monies required to fix this car. We offered a discount out of compassion for a customer and he was very pleased and accepting of our generosity. He also was not able to afford his collision deductible and we offered to waive this given the circumstances.

The assertion that parts are missing is laughable based on the fact that many of his parts were damaged [or missing] from previous accidents and some parts were just left hanging, damaged and rusted. We repaired this vehicle to a very high standard and did the best we could with the remaining monies available. The vehicle owner expressed his thanks for our help upon leaving and happily signed our waiver indicating extensive prior damage.
