Wednesday, August 30, 2023 took two boxes to be shipped to Oklahoma. One package was shipped to the correct address and four days later upon not receiving my package, I inquired and learned from the UPS store that my second package was sent to Illinois. The manager said he contacted the receiver of my package in Illinois, however, he can not make him send the package to the correct address. I asked the owner of the independent UPS store to refund my money for the insurance and the shipping because his staff made a mistake. He assures me weekly that he is taking care of the issue. $600 of lost merchandise I was sending to a customer in Oklahoma and I have no recourse. The UPS store claims that you have to have a tracking number to file a claim. Well, my claim number is for the wrongfully sent package to Illinois. So technically the merchandise in the box is mine but was mislabeled and I can very well drive to Illinois to get my belongings. All I ask for is monetary reimbursement for my merchandise and the money that I paid for shipping. I paid the store for the lost box which was $165.00.

    Business Response

We greatly apologize for the inconvenience. We sent labels to the 2nd party, asking him to send out the packages. We filed a claim for him, because who ever received his package, does not know what they did with it. He told us repeatedly that he was not sending the packages out until he gets his claim check. It is UPS corporate, not us the Francise decision and time, and I'm sure it is a process.
