    Our construction project has been on going since January 2022. The contract was signed in August 2021. The mortgage company has given numerous deadlines to which the contractor ignores. There were 14 weeks in 2022 where the contractor did not come. When he did, he stated that we were 75,000 over budget due to all of my overages and changes. I made one change at that time. Only one change order was made and we paid cash. There was no finish work done at that time. Only the shell and materials i had no control over how much they cost (outside of a front door). I made sure to get the cheapest doors I could find. Receipts were given but contractor does not have them separate for each of his jobs. He stated that if he goes over the time he planned to go for a certain part of the project, he will simply stop working. Then tells me that I over spent on materials because he went over budget in labor. The contractor went all winter without coming to do anything including fixing leaking doors. After he knew the deadline was October 28th. The new deadline was March. He never came. New deadline was August 31st. He waited to come until the week or two before to do trim. Two guys were there to do trim with the contractor knowing there wasn't enough. (He had stated months prior that we would be short on trim.) He waited until the week after the deadline to bring new trim for me to stain. I have asked for materials to be purchased and brought to finish but he refuses to bring anything until trim is stained and vanities are done, even though these aspects do not interfere with what he needs to finish- stairs, toilets, gutters, porch railings, stair railings, master shower, and risers for septic. Contractor stated he has no intention of installing gutters even though they are on the print from his original "estimate". Messages from myself and the bank/mortgage originator remain ignored.

    The job is not complete but he has been working two -three days the last couple of weeks which is more than he was. The contractor refuses to speak with me as well.
