We hired Chris S******** to install an inground pool at our house. We signed a contract with him prior to him starting the work. From the first day on site Chris began making MANY mistakes. First, he calculated the measurements wrong and overdug the pool, this cost us an additional $2000 to get the materials to fill back in what he had mistakenly dug. He started a retaining wall and I had to stop him and have him restart it because he was building it crooked. He didn’t know how to use a laser level. He didn’t know how to do basic math to calculate the measurements needed to do the job correctly. When he started placing the steel walls of the pool, I noticed that he had put a couple of them in upside down. He would tell me a day that he was coming and then never show up. He told me one week that he had another job to do and then I saw pictures of him at the beach on vacation. He lied repeatedly to us throughout the whole process. When I confronted him with all of this I offered for us to just part ways and he give me half of the $7500 I had paid him, which is MORE than fair because he basically did nothing. What he did do I have had to fix. Since speaking with him and requesting a refund of half the payment, he will not return phone calls, he blocked me so I cant text him and has completely ghosted me. I am out of options, please help. I have pictures of everything he did wrong. I have text messages, voicemails and emails of ALL communication between myself and Chris to prove his lies as well as him agreeing to pay me back half of the payment. Please help me if you can. This company should not be aloud to get away with this. Thank you for your time.
