Received notification that a collection agency had started collection of a debt from this company. I have had no know interaction with this provider and have never seen a bill for any services rendered. They sent me to collections without ever contacting me to say I have a balance or to discuss, or even to give me opportunity to pay. I have no idea what this is even concerning. If this is for a fair and documentable service rendered, then I will pay, but I will not deal with a collections company just because someone at this company didn't do their job. Making me work with a collections company will force me to involve the PA Attorney General, PA Department of Health and Department of State.

      Dear *** *******:
I have reviewed this account and I understand the patient’s concerns.
Quantum Imaging &Therapeutic Associates’ radiologists interpret the radiologic studies and transcribe  the report of the findings for services performed at **** facilities.
On 9-2-21, this patient was seen in the Emergency Department at **** ******** Hospital. During the  registration process at the hospital, the insurance card and photo ID were not obtained. When the  charges were uploaded into our billing system, this patient was loaded as self-pay and with the address  given to us by the hospital – ** ** ****** ******, York, PA. *****. Two billing statements were sent to  this address, and we did not receive any mail returns. Since we didn’t receive any call or  correspondence from the patient by 12-8-21, this account was turned over to our collection agency,  ****** ** ******* ********** on 12-10-21.
On 11-14-22, the patient called our billing company, ******** ******* ***** **********, and  informed them of his new address and insurance information. On this same day, ******* **** ***** was  billed. The service is now more than a year old, and it will be denied as untimely billing. When the  ******* **** ***** denial is received, this balance will be written off.
I have also contacted ****** ** ******* ********** and had the account closed so that the patient no  longer receives calls or letters from them. I also asked them to remove this account from the patient’s  credit report as well. It will take approximately 4 weeks for it to be removed from all 3 credit bureaus.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. My information is below.

      Regards,
      Connie *. R****
Director of Billing, Quantum Imaging & Therapeutic Assoc.
