      I went to the Eye Center of Central PA in ************ for my yearly eye checkup. At the same time I also asked for the contact exam so I could renew my prescription. Usually I pay right then and there for the prescription, but they waved me through and said I was good to go. A few months later I'm getting a collections notice for $55 for the prescription. I refused to pay this, because I never got a copy of my prescription as I order my contacts online.

      I have been a patient at the Eye Ctr for only 3 years. Over the past 12 years ive worn glasses ive never had any stress fractures or other problems with any of my prescription eyeglasses until i changed eye doctors and optical shops to purchase my prescription eyeglasses. I have purchased my eyeglasses from the Optical shop within the Eye Ctr office for the last 3 years. The last 3 pair of glasses I have purchased have had stress fractures within one to three months of purchase to one or both lenses which resulted in 1 (one) allowed replacement lenses only per the warranty. After one replacement of lenses, more stress fractures begin to occur which now I was responsible to pay for replacement lenses. I have tried to resolve this issue with the Optical shop however they will not replace or tell me why their eyeglass lab cannot produce a good product. My job is reading and on a computer 8 hours a day and I cannot go without the progressive prescription eyeglasses. I am asking for resolution and a full replacement of my current lenses at no cost to me.
