I purchased a vehicle from ****** almost 3 years ago and with that purchase I bought ******* as I do drive far and wanted an extended warranty. Sometime last year I had to use this service as I thought my car was leaking oil and turns out it wasn't. I had booked them online through ******'s site. They were helpful so when it came time for inspection I went to them and this was the first time I had to use my *******. January of 2023 I knew they were repair **** shop approved by ******* so when my alternator went I used them as I knew it was covered under warranty and I paid the deductible. I wish I would have known at this time everything would go downhill from here. 1/24/2023 my alternator was replaced by Christian Brothers. 2/13/2023 I had my car brought back in because my battery light had been flickering intermittently. They claim they test drove it and saw no light. 3/15/2023 my car needed the small block replaced as it was having an oil consumption issue which is common with my make and model vehicle. I had it done at Christian Brothers as my warranty would help with the cost. My car made no noise prior to this. They told me my clutch disc was low but that was not a big issue so I declined a clutch replacement until another time. 4/20/2023 they finally replaced my alternator as I had to take it in again because when they worked on my engine they claim they never saw the light when working on my engine and test drove it. 4/26/23 My car is leaking oil and it never did that before along with my clutch making a noise. 5/3/23 found where oil was leaking. 5/11/23 dropped off the car to have the leak fixed and couldn't pick it up until 5/15/2023 due to them breaking off a piece and did not inform me what it was . 5/17/2023 Coolant was leaking and the clutch went out. towed it to the shop 5/18/2023 towed elsewhere as I didn't want them touching my engine. Business Response

    Date: 06/21/2023

Had a conversation with **********; and addressed her concern and sent her a check to cover costs she paid to replace clutch. Please see details of the guest visits to our shop:

AFTER REPAIRS: 06/13/23 No further leaks at this time, it was found that there is a noise coming from the clutch area. We did check into it as a courtesy and it looks like the clutch fork is possibly tweaked a little and causing the noise. *** did install a washer to space it and it was a little better but ultimately it would possibly need the fork replaced or something else to resolve it. We also blead the clutch as a courtesy to make sure it was nothing relating to that. At this time everything works fine and no other action has been taken by CBA. Recommend seeing the shop who installed the clutch. Also we have cleaned everything underneath the vehicle and this may have a odor until it all dries and burns the cleaner off.
PREVIOUS VISIT NOTES: 05/18/23 Your technician ***** confirmed the guest concern, though he was able to get the vehicle into gear with extended effort. Having said this, he confirmed technician ****'s previous finding that your clutch throw out bearing has failed, likely due to loss of internal lubrication which then causes a hard shift and loud shrill noise. Recommend replacing your clutch and associated components including the throw out bearing to address.
PREVIOUS VISIT NOTES: 05/15/23 Your technician **** confirmed a small oil drip beneath your vehicle located at the transmission. He was able to observe fluid (either gear oil or engine oil) coming from between the transmission and engine, running down and then dripping from the transmission drain plug. He then visually inspected the engine - external cylinder head gasket area and all other seals/gaskets are clean and dry.
It is possible that the observed oil is residual that was caught in the foam seal between the engine and transmission, or it could be the transmission input seal weeping, or possible rear main seal dripped. Oil was cleaned up and UV dye added to the engine oil. **** recommends driving about 200 miles and then returning for re-inspection to determine next steps. If the leak persists, we will need to remove the transmission for further investigation and to address the issue. Please note: your technician **** stated clutch throw out bearing is making a lot of noise.
PREVIOUS VISIT NOTES: 03/28/23 Your technician **** performed the requested compression test due to oil consumption. He first disabled the fuel system, removing ignition coils and spark plugs. He then performed a dry compression test, finding all 4 cylinders at 190-195 PSI (specification is between 150 and 203 PSI, with 14 PSI variation between highest and lowest readings allowable). He then performed the wet compression test. After adding oil to cylinders and checking compression, compression went up, thus proving that there is a piston ring issue. This is a known issue with these engines, as outlined in ****** technical service bulletin *************. Recommend replacing engine to address concern.
CONTINUED NOTES: 03/28/23 Clutch was recommended with engine repairs but declined at that time

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered]
     Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:
I spoke with **** on 6/15/2023 to discuss my experience with. He agreed to reimburse me for a new clutch repair.  I have not received a check in the mail. I am not sure what day he mailed it as that that be the reason I have not received it yet.

    Regards,
