I made a reservation for the hotel through ******* on January 6th, 2025, for a stay from January 17th to January 19th, 2025, totaling $225.74. The images posted online showcased an attractive property that seemed ideal for my needs. I also visited the hotels website, which featured appealing photos and a well-designed layout. Interestingly, after a conversation with the hotel, the website became inaccessible, and I am now unable to find it.Upon arrival, we were taken aback to find that the windows were boarded up and the building appeared abandoned. The hotels check-in time was listed as either 4:00 or 4:30 p.m., so we arrived around 3:00 p.m. to explore the town. When we first approached the hotel, the doors were locked and the lights were off, which struck us as odd, as it is unusual for a hotel to have locked doors during operating hours. We returned at 4:00 p.m., around the designated check-in time, only to find the same situation: locked doors and no lights. We waited until 4:30 p.m., but the doors remained locked. I attempted to call the hotel, but the line went dead with no answer. We eventually left, seeking a refund, although the insurance I purchased was of no assistance. I tried to dispute the charge through my bank, but the hotel falsely claimed that we had checked in and checked out, asserting that services had been provided. I have substantial evidence proving that we left ********** after the hotel doors were locked. Despite reopening the dispute, the bank initially denied my claim. After further contact with the bank, I was instructed to call the hotel. I spoke with ********, the owner, who did not offer an apology. Instead, she questioned the validity of my account and implied that I was fabricating the situation. She claimed that the booking had been canceled and that we never checked in. When I called again for confirmation, ******** abruptly ended the conversation and refused to continue speaking with me.
