In May I hired STALLION MECHANICAL to fix the flue on my hot water tank. Yes they did fix it.
They pushed the button on my smoke alarm and it didn’t work. I knew this and told them that and I was going to change the battery. They took it down and said if you have a battery we can stick it in for you. So I got the battery and they changed it. Then they decided to work on the problem I hired them for. the pipe elbow was cracked and I needed a new one. The flue pipe was too long and needed trimmed. So they had to go To the hardware store and buy the elbow and sack Crete to cement the pipe in. Not long later they came up and said it was fixed and they would send me the bill. (Approximately 1 hour) Then they left. ?A little while later I went downstairs to see how it turned out. Not only did they leave a huge mess in my basement they mixed the cement on top of my washer and spilled it on the lid. I called them twice with no answer to requested and itemized bill at that time. I told them I’m not paying $300 that isn’t justified as to what for. All I know is they wrote cut flue, replace elbow, cement flue and change battles in smoke detector then a total of $294
Then today I get a letter saying to pay or they will send it to collections. So I called again and they answered. I tried to nicely ask about my bill and washer and the lady was rude. The owner called me back and was rude as well and flatly refused an itemized bill or anything with my washer lid. He only got nastier and demands the bill be paid in full or he is turning it into collections. All I wanted was an itemized bill and something done about the damage to my washing machine lid.

    Business Response

    Date: 10/13/2022

On May 17, 2022 a technician and technician assistant were dispatched to repair a faulty hot water heater flue pipe and the costumers residence which she rents.  The flue pipe had been installed improperly by another service company.  The technicians got the necessary parts and made the proper repairs.  An invoice was sent out on May 19, 2022.

There was no contact from the customer between May and September via phone or mail.

A friendly reminder was mailed on July 25, 2022, as well as a past due notice on August 15, 2022, with no response.

A certified letter and final notice was mailed on September 21, 2022.  We received a phone call from the customer on September 23, 2022.  This was the first contact with this customer since the initial call in May.  We checked our phone log and there were no other calls from their number.

The customer complained about a mess that was made when the repairs were made.  IF a mess had been left from the repairs in May, why would it take five months and receiving a final notice to hear back from the customer.

We stand behind our work and place a lot of pride in our workmanship.

This failure to pay will be turned over to the magistrate for collection promptly.

    Thank you!
