    We hired Karen R******* to be our mediator. Our initial meeting went great - reviewed the contract, expectations of the parties involved etc. We started to work on our custody agreement and wanted Karen to file it. This is when all the issues started. She stopped responding to my emails and it took her 2 months to file the custody agreement. When she finally filed the custody agreement it took less than a week. When I got the signed copies of my custody agreement I noticed that my signature was forged on some of the documents. I emailed Karen about it and of course I found out after the fact, she forged my name so it wouldn’t “delay” our custody agreement process any further. After clearing up why she forged my name, we had another call. She tells us what our next steps are and how we can start the process so we agree and asked her to file the child support portion. Karen stated that our option was to file it online. FYI - She never stated there were other options to file the child support so we agreed to file it online nor did she mention she was going to file it as me online. Next thing you know I get an email from child support and that’s when I lost it. First she forged my name and now she’s filing the child support as me. I was beyond annoyed that she kept on impersonating me. I would hope that a mediator, who is also an attorney, would know that ethically it’s not right to do these things. As a mediator who was hired and got paid should know to disclose this information before going forward.
