Brought my new 2024 Toyota Sienna van with 500 miles to the shop on 11/19 to get a hood wrap, headlight wrap and tints. I have a picture of my vehicle before it left my house via my security cameras and when it arrived. You can see the body damage as described by Toyota when I noticed my vehicles passenger side sliding door was malfunctioning after I brought it back from this detail shop. On 11/23 I noticed body panel damage around the passenger side door and that got my investigating further to why my automatic passenger side door was making weird noises when opening. Initially I thought it may be damage or a door misalignment that I noticed two days after my vehicle left their shop in the dark and rainy weather. After confirming with Toyota techs at ****** Toyota on 11/29, they determined that under the body of the door, it was “bent due to impact”. I brought this up to Jaison on 11/23 via text and he responded that he would ask. He has not responded to my initial request to see if his colleagues may have caused this damage and as a courtesy be honest. This wasn’t the case and Toyota in ****** like myself believes the vehicle collided with something low in the shop, with the passenger automatic door open, pushing it back and damaging a body panel and bending a door. I need to file this with your liability insurance company. I have before and after pictures for this reason, unbeknownst to every shop I take my vehicles to. This is why. I am happy to provide video footage as well to your liability insurance company as well.

I managed to get in touch with the business owner and we are discussing a solution. He did take ownership of the fact the vehicle was in his possession when the rear passenger door accidentally hit something. He was unaware that this happened but took responsibility which speaks volumes about his business.
