    I contacted business to book them for my wedding services after an issue occurred with my venue I immediately contacted ****** and explained that I currently lost the venue due to unforeseen circumstances with the building not being open due to renovations I had asked if she could do a partial refund and she agreed to it after waiting almost a week I contacted her again and asked for a full refund again she agreed to it. I have all documents stating a full refund.....As of today 7/31/22 I contacted ****** again and asked why I was only given a $50.00 refund instead of the full refund she said it was because of differences no service were acquired at all... my wedding is not until 2024

    I am responding to a complaint received by a former client whom was dissatisfied after not receiving a full refund after signing a contract for bartending, hair and make up services. The client had reached out to our business inquiring these services in which we were thrilled to be able to provide. We followed through with having the client sign our contract along with a non refundable 50% deposit to hold the clients date. The information regarding the non refundable 50% deposit is clearly stated in our contract in which the client signed and returned to us. With that being said, shortly after we were informed the client decided not to have a reception due to circumstances with the venue being unable to fulfill those requests. When the client brought this to my attention I offered to assist in finding another location for the reception to be held. At this point the client stated Im not even sure about doing a reception now as that was my first and only pick. 
    Due to having a signed contract and the policy placed within the contract stating a non refundable deposit, we did not feel as though deciding against a reception due to the venue being their first and only pick was not a reason to warrant a full refund (which is something we would have considered if it was a reason out of their control.) 
    Below I have attached the following documents showing a signed contract along with our policy highlighted stating of the non refundable deposit. Along with a copy of the refund notice that was sent to the client, as well as a copy of the text messages from the client stating their decision on their reception.
