    Business Response

    Date: 02/27/2025

First of all, I have attached a log of the calls she made to the billing company.  You will see that she made 4 calls.  All 4 calls were before business hours and/or during their lunch hours.  Three of the calls she just hung up and did not leave of voice mail so that they could not respond to her inquires.  The voice mail was on the February 21 which was a Friday, they state they will call withing 72hrs on business days to respond to the question.  She called us and contacted you even before those 72 hours.

Secondly, when she contacted my office, she spoke with my office manager who is not ****** and there is no one named ****** anywhere in either organization. I was able to hear the conversation.  ********* manager was not shown any respect and was continually called "Honey" which was very disrespectable, and Ms. ******** wouldn't stop calling her that when she asked her to stop. When my office manager offered to call the billing company for her, she wouldn't listen.  She also tried to explain to her that we had given her the other document that is included.  Insurance companies have always had pediatricians screen vision and hearing.  They often will cover one but not the other.  The vision screen that they cover is for the ophthalmologist not for us which is a different CPT code; we explain that and give parents the option to decline at every visit.  See the attached form.  She was aware.  She signed the attached form and agreed to pay for the screens if it is not covered; therefore, she is responsible.  This is a template form developed by other medical facilities.
