    On 5/7/24 I took a brand new, never worn ****** ***** dress to MS Cleaners for alterations. I needed the hem taken up about 2-3 inches to just below my knees. I put on the dress and the woman pinned the hem up also pinned the skirt to taper it a bit. It is to be noted that she initially began to pin the hem right above my knee but I told her no. I wanted to right below my knee.( I am a 76 year old woman and cant wear short dresses.) When I picked the dress up yesterday ( 5/15/24) and put it on at home, it was ****** tight, appeared a bit misshapen but worst of all the hem stopped at mid thigh! The dress is completely ruined, they clearly made a terrible mistake when they altered it. I called MS Cleaners immediately that evening and told them the problem and they HUNG UP on me.This morning I went to the cleaners wearing the dress ( which now looks like a skimpy mini- shirted go-go dress from 1960s) and again told them they ruined the dress and I wanted my $43 back . The woman became immediately defensive and angry, saying I was the one who wanted the dress that tight and short ! I replied if I had wanted it so tight and short, why was I there complaining about it? She still had the hem material that was cut off - it was easily 7 inches wide!She claims she is the owner of the store. No matter what I said she insisted that I wanted it short and refused to refund even the cost of the alterations, (never mind the cost of the brand new dress.)She was very nasty , yelling and arguing and finally even went to the back of the store and ignored me.This is very upsetting. I never encountered such a rude, hostile business person unwilling to try to accommodate a customer. Only later did I think to look online at reviews which are very negative. I dont feel the business should be allowed do such a thing without consequences. I hope you can help me with this problem. Thank you.

    Several days ago I heard from MS Cleaners stating they were contacted by the BBB and were now ready to refund the $43 I paid for the alterations. They still however took no responsibility for the bad alterations, instead blaming me for the dress being ruined.  They were unable to reply to your email citing computer issues so I told them I would advise you of the outcome .  
    I would like to thank the BBB for resolving this issue. I really appreciate your help .
