1/23/23. What a horrible experience with Breese heating and cooling. Furnace installation. Brought in 1 day stopped in 5 hours to come back the next day. Install went fine told me nothing about anything. Oh you need new thermostats. No don't want them. Ok as the guy starts to tear one off the wall. Furnace is now running non stop. Called for the 24 hour service. Oh that will be 250. Why my furnace has a 1 year parts and labor warranty. Oh you didn't get a new thermostat that's not our problem. I was told nothing about that during installation. After 5 days of waiting for them to install the furnace and freezing. Now my mother is sweltering along with my special needs dog. They were zero help but were quick to take my money

Furnace stopped working at 3 am on December 24. Called Breese at 8 am. Was told we were in the system and was on the list for service that day; prior business with them over 20 years. Almost four hours later, they called back to say that the last time they were out, that they told us to get a new furnace. She also stated they would not be coming out. Those four hours hurt us from getting a better position on a different business’s list.
Terrible to treat customers this way! Especially after they had just been released from hospital with heart problems two days prior! Also, the last appointment with Breese was during spring or summer special they had running for furnace check up! Our last appointment was not due to no heat during a storm! So unprofessional and absolutely no ethics or morals!

    Subj: Complaint ID* ******** ******** *********

We received a complaint about our business, ID# ********* The following is our response:

During the "Artic Blast" on Saturday, December 24, 2022, Breese Heating & Cooling received so many service requests that we were forced to prioritize serve to our "active" customers.
One of the numerous requests was from the ****** household and yes, their name does appear in our database.

As the ******** had declined/cancelled the last service request back in 2015, they were notified that we would not be able to respond that weekend due to commitments with our priority customer base.
Although we exert extreme effort to keep as many homes warm as possible, we do have limitations and are occasionally forced to prioritize. We were unable to respond to many requests for service over that weekend.

I am grateful that you are aware that there are two sides to every dispute. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at (724) 662-2579, ext 103.

Pamela is lying regarding our last transaction with Breese.  On the telephone at 8 am )Christmas Eve, we were put on the list for service that day.  They waited 4 hours and called my sick husband that just got discharged from the hospital and said “they weren’t coming out because they told us to get a new furnace”. That was a lie! And also lied in their response to you BBB, our last transaction with Breese was in the summer time- they were running a furnace check up special; which also entailed service and parts.  Unprofessional and unreasonable to do this to sick elderly and disabled clients!  Unacceptable to leave them hanging four hours which hurt us drastically when searching for a new heating repair company!
