      I moved in my new modular home after being delivered by a reseller of ritz craft homes. On delivery half of the home went in a ditch and after several attempts to get it out, it finally came out. It was inspected by so called professionals and deemed okay. When I moved in the home in August of 2023 I noticed several things that was off including flooring on that side was not level and had several humps. This is now getting worse. I also having problems with seams in carpet that it seems that no one can fix. These problems have been attempted to be fixed several times by this manufacturer and also the reseller. The amount of time it is taking to get someone yet again is ridiculous. They are saying August at the earliest to get someone to fix these problems.

      The information of the home being in a ditch was never presented to us on the front side or any damages from the mishap. The initial request for the carpet seam that needed repaired was submitted and repaired in December.  The following visit for the repair we made the repair but when seaming the carpet together with the older piece we were unable to get a good seam. We will be replacing the carpet, so we are able to get a good seam.  When it comes to the timeline, we are diligently working on hiring more service technicians to lower the turnaround time for repairs.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      The timeframe to get these issues fixed and not reasonable. An outside company should be called to fix these problems if the company is not capable of doing so. Almost a year with having these problems and several times attempting repairs on a brand new house is ridiculous. A company should be called that can fix all the problems under the house with proper leveling and also a company to fix the carpet.

      Home built in 2020 and we recently removed some drywall to make an improvement. We discovered our electrctrial wiring has no staples or straping connecting it to the studs. Attempted to contact Ritz Craft and received no response.

      Per the *** section 314.17(B)(1) the wires do not need secured when using nonmetallic boxes and the wires are fished between access points. During our assembly process we will hang the drywall to both sides of the wall prior to installing the electrical. With our process being completed this way the wires do no need secured on interior walls. If the wire is on a mate wall or an exterior wall it will be secured.

      I have a 5 year old home that I purchased from Ritz Craft RC). The front door began leaking from the top and side. The door has a 10 year warranty but repeated calls to Ritz Craft went unreturned. I called the door manufacturer (the information was in my warranty packet) and they said a claim needs to be filed by RC because they purchased the door. RC couldnt even be bothered putting in a claim call for me. As it turned out the door did have a leak from the window (part of the door unit) and there was no flashing above the door (RC's mistake).

      The repair was over $2,000. Home owners insurance wouldnt touch it and said it was an RC defects problem. RC's unresponsiveness is typical of their customer service. This has happened on several other occasions such as when the pocket doors fell off in my study (no response), when my bathroom floor cracked because of a faulty bathroom leak repair, etc. I could go on. They take your call and hope you never call back. Eventually they tire you out.

      Now its time to complain.

      See attached documents - work order that was submitted, June 2018, there is no report of water leak at the front door.

      There is a print attached that an onsite porch was installed after the home was set, this was not installed by Ritz Craft Homes of PA.

      The home has a 1year warranty with Ritz- Craft Homes of PA. this home was manufactured at Ritz Craft in May 17, 2017.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      1. This has nothing to do with a porch it is a front door leak.  The door is warranted by the manufacturer for 10 years, that's according to Ritz Craft.  Ritz Craft refused to enter a warranty claim for me as is the procedure per the door manufacturer.  This repair cost me $2,000.00  I can send a copy of the warranty packet with the information regarding the door on request.

      Ritz-Craft warranties the homes for one year of factory defects.  The home is over five years old.  The front door is not produced by Ritz-Craft.  Ritz-Craft talked about the porch installed by the builder, due to possible water leaking behind the roof into the wall.  If it is a door defect the homeowner will need to reach out to the door manufacture and claim his issue to them.

      I am rejecting this response because:  I called the door manufacturer.  They refused to honor the warranty saying that I did not purchase the door, Ritz Craft did which makes the the customer.  I called Ritz Craft and asked them to call in a claim for my door in their name as the manufacturer prescribed.  Ritz Craft refused.  There fore I can't pursue a warranty claim with the door maker.
