I went to the gun shop to buy a AR15 unfortunately I was denied. I went to get my money back that I payed and I was deducted sales tax for a gun that I could not purchase so I was charged sales tax for the gun then instead of crediting my card back he tired to take the money and again. I did not realize it till I returned home. I called to ask about it and the owner started swearing at me and told me his employee made a mistake. I still have not received my money. I am very concerned that I will not receive the money that is owed to me. I am also concerned about the shop charging me sales tax on a firearm that did not receive

On 7/26/2022 ****** ** ***** purchased a firearm from Curt's Gun Shop, Inc., *** *****'s background check went into Pending on the Pennsylvania Instant Check System operated by the Pennsylvania State Police. The time to clear pending can take anywhere from 10 minutes up to as much as 4 hours for approval or denial. (Approval or denial is outside the control Curt's Gun Shop, Inc.).
Curt's Gun Shop, Inc., does not get a note from the PA state Police on why *** ***** can not obtain a firearm.
*** *****'s pending was changed to denied after the shop had closed for the day. *** ***** was notified the following morning by phone concerning his denial. He came into the shop for his refund that afternoon. At this time *** ***** suggested his friend could come in and purchase this firearm for him, this is considered a Straw Purchase and would be a violation of federal law, We informed the second party and we could not deliver the firearm to him.
During the process of refund the shop employee inadvertently hit sale instead of refund, but noticed the mistake and cancelled the transaction and a refund was made for $745.00. (See cancelled receipt).
Curt's Gun Shop, Inc. charges a $50.00 service charge for a denied Pennsylvania Instant Check.

*** ***** called Curt's Gun Shop, Inc. later that day after the return was completed. He was claiming he was charged $745.00. *** ***** was verbally abusive over the phone demanding another mistake was made. At this point Curtis *. M*******, President of Curt's Gun Shop, Inc. told him that he would no longer put up with his verbal abuse and hung up the phone. Immediately after the call *** ***** had an individual call claiming to be his brother. We explained to him what happened and we asked him to call back in 10 minutes so we could review our credit card terminal to verify the return or mistake. Upon reviewing the terminal batch slips we confirmed that the above inadvertent sale was cancelled and *** ***** was refunded $745.00.
After 10 minutes a person claiming to be *** *****'s brother called back and we explained to him the findings and made copies of all receipts. He said he would stop by the following morning to pick up the copies and he did.
