I had windows installed by install America and one was broken on installation. I was told this would be replaced in about a week. The installation was about 3 months ago and I can get no one at the company to respond to phone calls or emails sent to attempt to resolve this issue.Business Response

on 11/5/24 I ordered windows for my home. The job is still not finished, was not done as ordered and the company has not responded to my many emails and requests to get this resolved. I have documentation that I tried to attach, but too many characters for this box. I have copied all email communication and have the original docusign and their demand letter sent to me yesterday for final payment claiming they "completed the job expeditiously and in accordance with our contract" haha I attached email thread and docusign belowBusiness Response

We have been in contact with Mrs. *************** The contact called for grids in the windows and patio door. Her complaint is she now does not want grids in the patio door. This did lead to somewhat of a stalemate, however we have conceded the issue and have ordered the replacement glass for the door without the grids. This is a custom sized door in both width and height, so it will take a little longer to be received than a standard size. Again, we have been in contact with the customer to explain this and will be back in contact once the glass is received.Customer Answer

The response that install America gave was incorrect. They have misstated what the problem was and did not include what the total problem is. My biggest concern before filing the complaint with the Better Business bureau is that I emailed them and called them repeatedly with no response whatsoever. I know they've ordered the correct glass finally they said they did it 3 months ago. I don't believe they did but I did get a call the other day from someone who said they have ordered the glass and would let me know when it's in. That is only the beginning of the problem. I have documentation which I could not submit in this form, but if you provide me the information of where to add additional documentation, I have a chain of emails and my response to them as to what the problems are that I'm happy to share with youCustomer Answer

I sent a response. This method of communication is not convenient. Is there any way I can call someone or send an email so that I can do attachments? I tried to do from my phone. This issue is far from resolved. Now you're saying the case is closed? Do I have to start all over again?Initial Complaint

On September 13, 2022 we had Install America install a 6 foot vinyl fence along with windows. The fence was $14,900. We went with the company because they offered a lifetime warranty on every project. The sales person told us they would remove the old wooden fence and dig new post. They never dug new post and used the old 4 foot high post since they were in good condition. Fast forward to January 17, 2025 we had a bottom rail fall down and tabs on another bottom rail become exposed. I contacted the company on January 21 and sent in pictures of whats wrong with the fence. They said they couldnt look at it till spring which was understandable. On March 14, they sent a roofer to look at the fence and ****** told me they were suppose to send the fence manager but he got fired 3 weeks prior. I was told they would talk to the person who installed my fence and see what had to be done. It wasnt till April 17 when they sent another person out. I was under the impression they were sending ***** who built my fence out. They sent someone named ***** who does bathroom remodeling out. ***** told me the installer messed up and cut my 2 bottom rails to short that they contracted to much this winter. ***** told me new rails would be ordered and the two sections of fence would be ripped down and resat. I waited and sent everyone emails to see if the rails were ever ordered. I didnt get a reply back till May 1. The bathroom manager ***** messaged me saying my warranty is expired, that if I was interested in getting my fence fixed he could get me a price. 1. They never sent the fencer out to look at the fence so how do they really know what was wrong with it. 2. If they messed up during the install why didnt they fix the mistake at that point and dig new post. 3. How can a lifetime warranty expire especially when its lifetime? After paying $73,000 on windows, fencing, trex deck, front door and metal roof this is how they treat a customer? I would never use this company againBusiness Response

Unfortunately, Mr. ********** was under an impression that a "lifetime" warranty came with his fencing project. Fencing is one product that there is no lifetime warranty offered. However. he is a repeat customer, and has been a good customer to us. I just spoke with him to let him know we are going to replace the rails on the fence panel in question, and do it at no-charge. I did explain that there technically is no warranty at this point, but we were doing it as a courtesy for him being a good customer. The material just got ordered, and we will be in contact when it is received. The customer also agreed to retract any complaints or reviews once this is corrected.Customer Answer

March 18 2025 had a appointment with a sales representative for Install America name ****** for a bathroom remodel. We decided to hold off on the bathroom remodel and decided to get 3 front windows done instead. We were told a total price of $2700 dollars and gave a deposit of $1000 dollars to Install America. They sent another personnel out to 4001 ***** Dr. ** **************** where the windows were to be installed to take measurements of the 3 windows. I was then told that it would take 4 to 6 weeks for the windows to be made to measurements. I reached out to ****** (Salesman) boss (*****) to find out what the status was on my windows install after more than 4 weeks and couldn't get in contact with ***** after a number of attempts. The tub is not working any longer. I have tried for two months to get someone to come and fix it. They wont answer the numerous internet requests. I called and talked to a supervisor several times and have been lied to several times. Even a local representative said he set it up with a local electric company to come by and fix it. When I checked with them they had never heard of them.Business Response

We had an electrician go out and service Mr. ********** issue on the tub and it's now working.
Please see attached service ticket esigned by the customer today after the repair.
Thanks

The electrician has fixed the problem with the tub. This was done only after contacting BBB. It was taken care of within a few days. We had to go through 3 months of being ignored and lied to. My wife and I both have back problems and havent been able to use the tub. We went through a lot of stress and strain. This could have been avoided if they had been honest with in the beginning.Customer Answer

Ms. ***** signed a home improvement contract with us on 1/21/25. She scheduled us out for an estimate for her roof project. We provided this estimate, and she choose to move forward and sign the contract with us. We probably did call several times over the course of a few months, however we were not receiving any communication back. We have cancelled her contract and will not be attempting to contact her further on the matter. However, we feel it is important to note that we have committed no wrong-doing in the matter, and simply looking to process and move forward the work order/contract that she signed with our company.Customer Answer

Install America threatened us if we didn't follow through with a remodel that was promised to be completed before now. I was initially told that the work would be done before my surgery on February 28th. We canceled the project a couple weeks later once we found out that the project wouldn't be completed on the date stated initially when we engaged with the company about working on a bathroom remodel. Now, the company is threatening a lean on my home and legal actions, which aren't professional, given that I am now 3.5 weeks out of surgery and do not trust them now in my home based on their behaviors over the phone.Business Response

We entered into contract with Mrs. **** on 12/17/24. Per state law there is a 3 day right of cancellation. Our contract also clearly outlines the cancellation process. This undeniably did not happen. The customer scheduled the pre-job inspection with us on 1/3/25. All of her products were then ordered and released for production. These products are all custom ordered for her bathroom per the specifications she picked. These products are not returnable, nor is the time we have invested. Unfortunately, options to cancel the contract have come and gone a long time ago. However, we understand there can be different life circumstances for each customer. We do our best to work with our customers through scheduling efforts, etc. to attempt to accommodate their needs. We are certainly willing to do the same for Mrs. ***** within reason. We do look forward to amicably working with Mrs. **** to complete this bathroom project.Initial Complaint

On July 27, 2024, a salesperson from Install America, ***, came to our house and we signed a contract for new windows and siding. The windows were installed the week of December 15, 2024 (5 months after we ordered them when we were told 12 weeks). They immediately started installing the siding the following week. They ran out of materials (coil, trim, etc) on December 27, 2024, and left the house half-done. It is February 16, 2025, and no new material has been delivered and no installation has been done. The dumpster, full of trash, sat in our driveway for 6 weeks until we complained and it was removed. We cant get a response from any of our calls at **************** ****, the nephew of the owner of Install America got involved and said it would be completed in January. No product and no installers showed up. A guy, ********* from the Nashville office tried to help but no product showed up. The contract says 90 days for siding installation after purchase and it has been almost 200 days. No one will answer or return our calls and the house is only 2/3 complete with siding. We have boxes of material that have been sitting in our driveway since December but apparently not the materials they need. We need the job to be complete and at this point we feel like we should not be charged at all! Their incompetency is absolutely unacceptable. The installers are waiting for payment too! Every time we actually get someone on the phone from Install America they have no idea what is going on and tell us they will get someone to call us back. No one ever does, unless it is someone trying to sell us something. The sales person, ***, is ignoring us, the people at the *************** (*******, *******) are ignoring us and now the people in ********* (maybe ************? **** and ********) are ignoring us too. Pictures are available upon request (the files are too big to attach). Please get Install America to deliver the material and finish the job!Business Response
Date: 02/28/2025
We apologize the project has been frustrating for the customer, and we understand their frustration. Unfortunately, the last order of trim coil we were waiting on was sent as the wrong color from the distributor, and needed reordered again. Fortunately, we have the correct material and are currently back on site to complete the project in full. It should be completed by mid-end of next week.Initial Complaint

in February of 2022 we had purchased windows siding and a sliding door from Install America,we had noticed a increase in bugs coming into our home but thought it might have been a seasonal thing. We are now getting majorly overcome with bugs, such as stink bugs, lady bugs in our home all the time.We believe when they put on new siding that they did not wrap our house to standards to keep this from happening. We have reached out to Install America several times, and were told to fill out a service request and did.The only ones we have heard from was trying to sell us more stuff,I told them of my problem and was told someone would be in contact.not a word from the company.Business Response
