October 26, 2023, is the initial date of services. The amount agree upon was $1000,00.00. The scope of service is home repairs. The home improvement company, was hired to complete all drywall repairs and paint for the first level of a three story home (repairs were minor). This excluded a remodeled kitchen also on the first. The home improvement company completed the drywall repairs, paintied the walls for the livingroom and dining room--including the trim. However, after completing the two rooms, the owner refuse to paint the bathroom or tape and complete drywall repairs in the shed kitchen. In addition, he also refuse to paint any doors attached to the painted rooms; leaving the first floor incomplete. When asked to complete the remaining portion of the work, he refused asking for more money. He was asked to exclude the bathroom and simply complete the doors to complete the rooms, again he refuse. He then changed the agreement stating that if the bathroom would cost an additional $150.00 if the color was changed. As a result of this conflict $40.00 was reduced from the bill. I pointed out that none of the rooms were completed without the doors within the room being painted. He agreed to paint the doors the following week. Once the week began, he did not arrive to begin the work until Friday, November, 17, 2023. Once he arrived, he immediately refuse to complete the doors and left the premises. The outcome is the work is incomplete and as a result, I'm a dissatisfied customer. Resolution? Return a financial portion of the funds provided or paint the doors (3) as requested-- inferior only (back door, basement door and front door). He can exclude the bathroom and the shed kitche as originally agreed upon. This would complete the two rooms at least. There are not repairs required for the doors.
