      In Feb. of 2024 I called this business and the person I spoke with checked my insurance info--which they always did before I put an order in, and, she said it had been over 6 months since my last order, so insurance would cover it, and I gave her a few items that I wanted to order. She said my co-pay on those things would be $25.59 which I paid. In January of this year, 2025, a whole year later, I got a call from a woman stating that I owed $303.84 for that order. She explained to me that the woman who had taken my order in Feb. of 2024 had messed up multiple orders, and had given me wrong information on what I would owe, and they had let her go, she no longer worked there. I explained to her I would not have ordered the things I ordered if it would cost that much. In the past I ordered things and insurance covered it ---I had no idea this order would not be covered as her employee had told me differently, and I paid what her employee told me I would owe.

      1. ******** M ******** DBA K & J's Complete Woman is a licensed Durable Medical Equipment provider, who,as a courtesy, billed **************************** to pay for Devices or Garments she purchased at our facility. When Ms. **** came in, she signed our Signature on File form, which clearly states the following.  (The form ******* signed is attached).
      PAYMENT

      K & Js will do our best to determine any monies you will owe. ******************************* lets you and us know that the information they provide by phone or computer systems is not a guarantee of payment.
      Refusal to pay for deductibles, co-insurance, or ****** does not affect your insurance company.
      It affects K & Js as we are not paid for the products we provided in good faith.

      2. When our billing staff contacted **************************** by phone, they reported that Ms. **** had 15% coinsurance for the products she was purchasing at our facility.  The ***************** Representative did not inform us that Ms. **** still had a deductible she owed on her insurance plan.  This is information Ms. **** would have, as this is her medical insurance that she uses to pay for medical services.

      3. We acknowledge the staff member who contacted Ms. **** about her balance did not provide correct or appropriate information other than the bill that was sent.  

      4. Our owner, ******** ********, spoke to Ms. **** after this complaint, and as another courtesy, wrote off the monies that Ms. **** owed to our company for items she obtained and is using.  We should have received $325.59 for these items.  We received $47.25 from ******* (what the insurance company originally told us she would owe) + $21.75 from ****************************.   Therefore, this is a $256.59 loss to K & J's woman.

      5. In addition, because this was processed, Ms. ****** deductible was met, and this saved her an additional $300 in medical expenses this year.
