Company sends emails claiming that we have an ongoing conversation when we have never talked, nor have I supplied them any of my info. I assume they got it from a wedding convention since they also emailed my faience and her entire bride squad. We already have a DJ so we know for sure none of us spoke to them. Miss leading spam emails. Deceptive practices.

      Business Response

      Date: 06/19/2023

This person is NOT even a CLIENT. They ATTENDED a WEDDING SHOW, where they GAVE CONSENT to be contacted by Vendors at the Wedding Show. We are just following up with these Prospects, because they FILLED OUT A FORM ON OUR SITE, wanting information, and then Ghosted our company and never got back to us. So, as a business we were following up with the Prospect from their Attendance at the Show and they even FILLED OUT THEIR INFORMATION IN OUR BOOTH!

This is ridiculous that we are even seeing this as a complaint, since THEY GAVE CONSENT to be contacted at the Wedding Show they Attended Sunday, April 2, 2023! (*****************************)

Attached is an image of the activity from our CRM, CLEARLY SHOWING they Filled out a Form that gave us every right to contact them. They decided to not reply, and if they did not want to be contacted, the can CLICK ON "UNSUBSCRIBE" in the Bottom of the Email!

They also did NOT adhere to our Privacy Policy as well. They DID NOT CALL US or EMAIL US to be removed until after we sent that last email.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 06/21/2023

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I've never filled out anything on their website nor talked to them at the show. Their picture shows nothing and that form can be filled out by anyone as it's obviously an editable form that you took a screenshot of. So even if you got my email from the bridal show, you are straight up lying about me going on your website requesting more info.

Why don't you have a unsubscribe button? ************************************************************************************** here's the link with the FTC laws you are required to follow as a business. This was never a personal exchange. Maybe I should forward this report to them also?

Why are you cold emailing with deceptive statements that confuse people into thinking they were talking to you and not someone else at the show?

I'll just paste some of the law in case you don't want go learn for yourself. "FTC: Don’t use false or misleading header information. Don’t use deceptive subject lines. Identify the message as an ad. Tell recipients how to opt out of receiving future email from you."

Why forge up a web form I supposedly filled out on your website I've never been to. This is the same for my faience and her whole bride squad who all got the same spam. Also great professionalism in your response. Random all cap words don't make you look like a 12 year old raging on a Pokemon subreddit or anything...
