I called & scheduled an appt w/ Loretta for 4/5 at 8pm. She took 4 hours to try doing our taxes. I had to go BACK there again on 4/8 at 6pm & was there again for another 2 hours for her to finish & e-file my 2023 tax return. I waited a few days & then checked the status of my refund on the irs website but there was no update. I reached out to her via phone, email & text - 2 days went by w/o any reply from her. Finally on friday 4/12 she asked for more info from me & that she'd try re-filing. Come 4/16, she said she re-filed my taxes & to let her know if I saw any update on the irs website. On 4/12 in addition to saying she needed more info b/c my taxes got "rejected," & to email her the info. I asked for her email 3+ times to never get it. I continued to check in w/ her via phone, email & text but she didn't reply back to me at all. Even when we were in her office on 4/8, she was talking to my fiance about his state taxes & was reading info off of someone elses tax documents & even proceeded to hand him those documents, but thankfully we are honest people & told her that those weren't his forms. She misplaced our documents a few times which is a bit unnerving b/c our docs have sensitive info on them. Her office was an upheavled mess w/ paperwork sprawled everywhere. I had continued to reach out to her for updates about my return & on 4/21 she finally replied & instead of giving an update all she said was "I have got back to ou what are talking about????" I told her "You said on tuesday (4/16) that you re efiled my taxes & to "keep you posted" & all week the irs webiste still has no update." She never replied. at all. I do not think she should be doing business much less doing people's taxes. I do not think she ever efiled my taxes; I think she "processed" stuff and just wanted to get money from me. The lack of communication & the fact that she never followed through with efiling my return is very frustrating, unnerving, and disappointing. She is horrible at her job.

I received this complaint, however, I have not been able to access the complaint nor its validity..  The internal revenue is suggesting that she file a paper return which is what I told her she should do as I do not have access to what her previous preparer sent to the IRS.  Each time I efiled her return it was rejected.  Loretta ****** W*****, owner and operator of LMT and Associates Tax Services.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

She did not tell me to file a paper return and she did not reply back to me for many days at a time. The time she did reply, her reply only said that she “was getting back to me” and NOT in ANY WAY did she tell me or communicate to me that she tried efiling my taxes more than once and that they kept getting rejected because she never communicated to me and she did not say that the irs said I needed to file a paper copy of my taxes. She pretty much took my money and ignored me for 3 weeks.
