MSS was hired to uncrate an 85 inch TV at my home in Colorado Springs. After uncrating and the photo was taken, the moving team placed it in a different room since it was not safe in the original un-boxing location. The photo they provided was prior to them relocating the TV. In the photos, if you look at the background, the TV is definitely in a different location. When they took the original photo, it was in the middle of the basement. This was not a safe location to leave a TV of this size because we have a three year old that would either break the TV or the TV could easily fall on him causing harm. We asked them if they could put it in a bedroom where the door could be closed preventing this type of injury. We took their word for it, that it was working, and did not even worry about it until we were getting closer to hiring **** *** to come out to mount the television. It was at this time that we turned it on and realized that the screen had been damaged and the TV is no longer useful. This TV was only two years old and still in great working shape prior to the move. We are devastated that it is now broken. ******** on behalf of ****** *** ***** states that they contacted MSS and was told that they didn’t move the television. Because of this lie, they are refusing to pay for the broken TV. We would appreciate an accurate account of what happened to further ******** investigation or pay us the value of the broken TV.

MSS was hired by ******************* to uncrate a TV for this customer, among other services. The services were performed on 9/11/23. The customer signed paperwork at that time confirming satisfactory completion of the services which included the picture of the TV powered on.

On 10/30/23 MSS was contacted by ******** to advise a claim was filed with them regarding a damaged TV and requested information. MSS provided ******** with the information regarding the state of the TV as it was left by MSS on 9/11/23 with the picture and signed paperwork included. There has been no follow up from ******** to MSS regarding this matter. MSS maintains that the damage claimed by the customer to ******** was not caused by MSS services.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

I signed the paperwork without having the team re-verify that the TV was working after they moved it to another room. I should have had them turn it on again to make sure it was still in good condition. I was busy coordinating the unpacking and unloading and didn’t consider that moving from one room to another would risk the TV being broken. Instead of lying and saying that the team didn’t move the TV, it would be better to admit the team did in fact did help relocate the TV and it’s possible that it was broken during that time.

    Regards,
