  On September 3, 2024, I hired DA **********************, painting to perform some painting exterior on my home. Mr. ********************** made a contract which we both signed and payment agreements were included however, Mr. ********************** did not complete the things that he had put on the contract. He also stayed in a contract that I would pay the down payment which I did and then the remainder went done, but shortly after begin harassing and pressuring me and threatening me to give him more money, even though the work he had been doing was not being done correctly. The painting looks very sloppy and he painted things that should not have been painted because the wood was rotten. .

  Mr. *********************** response is filled with a lot of information that he totally made up. Why would I have told him to paint rotten wood? I would never have paid anyone to paint rotten wood. Mr. ********************** was at my home completing the work while I was at work. The very first day he sent me pictures of what was done and when I got home and looked at them, it was horrible . They had painted over chipping paint. Mr. ********************** had begun to scrape off while I was talking to him about it. I had mentioned that if the wood is rotten, then do not paint it Because it looks like c*** Well, I was at work. Mr. ********************** proceeded to paint the rotten wood, so he could show me what it looked like painted explaining that it would level out when the paint dried or that he could use filler to make it look nice which he did not do.. I have pictures and text to prove all of what my original complaint said, and everything throughout the whole deal. As far as him mentioning my former husband being involved, my former husband bought the home with me in 1999 when we were married. He was helping me to pay for the work to be done. Due to him living two hours away he was not on site but he was involved through my pictures in my communication, as to the work being done . Also, concerning Mr. ********************** mentioning me accusing him of breaking in my garage that is not the truth. He was keeping his materials in my shed while he worked there so he wouldnt have to bring them back-and-forth. After I told him to take his belongings and discontinue the work I checked my shed and there was a ladder and a bucket remaining. I took the key inside from where I had left it out for him to use and let him know that his letter was in there and let me know when he would come for it, and I will put it out or see that he gets it. He began telling me that he already got so that is where the confusion came in because I saw the ladder in there, but apparently he had a different ladder that he had gotten and forgot that one that was still there. Ill let him know to let me know when hes coming by and I will put the ladder out for him and the bucket. 
  Mr. ********************** does not appear to have a painting business and as far as I can tell is not a Painter at all. I had two other contractors look at my house and told me that I was severely taken advantage of and that Mr. ********************** had taken money from me that he should not have because the work was so bad.. Apparently, I should have checked out my rights before I completed payment. . as far as Mr. ********************** mentioning me getting another estimate from someone at an earlier time for $6000 that was for more work than what Mr. ********************** was hired for and it was an extensive quote as other contractors agreed with me so Mr. ********************** is just using that too make himself look better . as my original complaint states per the contract, which Mr. ********************** wrote out he was to get in amount paid upfront, and then the rest after the work was completed however, after only working a couple of days, he began to harass me and demand money and make all kinds of accusations..  It is clear to me now that Mr. ****** just wanted to hurry up and Get the work done well I was at work thinking I wasnt going to check it or wasnt going to know what I was looking at and just receive the payment. I have texting conversations and pictures to back up and prove everything throughout the process. This is a shame and has caused hardship because i or my former husband are not well off and this money we spent was wasted.
