On August 22 2023 at 4:30pm, Jack Cooper showed up at my house. Jack expressed concerns of my driveway and advised he could repair it. I advised him to let me know of a price. Jack then took measurements and advise he could do it for $XXXX but that was only good if it could be done the next day Aug. 23rd. Due to he had other jobs in the area. We agreed on price for weed killer, debris clean up, crack filler, and sealed. Jack said he would be there first thing in the morning, and it would be completed by end of day and could use driveway 2 hours after completion. On Aug 23rd. Jack had arrived at 1030 am, proceeded to work on cleaning cracks, weed killing and edging. He worked till noon then had left premises, and arrived back at 2pm. When Jack arrived back he filled cracks on the lower half of driveway. At 330pm Jack had left the premises once again leaving the tar bucket in the driveway along with trailer and equipment in yard. I arrived home at 430pm to find driveway partially crack filled with no communication from jack, called and left message to see what was going on with driveway. At 5pm received a call back from Jack, stating apparently he didn’t finish and he would be back the following day. Aug 24th no call no show from Jack. Aug 25th Jack arrives back on premises around 330pm and proceeds to fill the cracks in the driveway. He finished all the crack filling and left premises at 530pm. On Aug 25th at 11am Jack arrives back on premises and makes contact with me, I advised Jack I was not happy with the service and would like money taken off the bill due to the inconvenience of having the driveway incomplete for 4 days. He then began to arguing with me stating that was an insult, and threatened to leave with driveway unfinished. Jack was paid in full and finished sealing the driveway, On Monday Aug 28th used driveway and while getting out of car stepped on crack filler and it had smeared off the crack. He had me believe he had a crew and was licensed but didnt

I received complaint # ********. While I don't agree to his version, I am willing to refund $500 as a good will gesture to put an end to this complaint.

Note, I even offered to come back & fix the areas of concern.  However he stated via text that he wanted $500 back and would consider the matter resolved.

By accepting $500 the consumer agrees to close complaint rendered as Resolved.

Enclosed with this response is a check for $500.00
