The letter came from a man named **** *****, he is the general manager. His email is *************************************** The letter states that they are offering me a trade in for my 2017 **** Escape and can upgrade to a 2025 ***** Trax LS for $16,638 which is less that what my ***************** 2023, that cost about $20,000-$22-000 I believe when I started paying on it but when I emailed ***** he emails me back and tells me that I have not been paying enough on my **** Escape. I have been paying on this for over two years now. I got my **** Escape on Jan 14, 2023. It does not make sense for them to send me this letter on 5-22-25 telling me I can upgrade to a newer vehicle and that I can get a trade in premium price of $6,502.00 and then tell me I have to pay more on my vehicle. I feel I am being misled and they always try to discourage me from trading in this vehicle. This is not the first time that they have tried to discourage me from trading in this vehicle for a more reasonable monthly payment. I have spoken with ***** ****** as well and he has done the same thing. When I got this car from them back in Jan of 2023 I had no vehicle to trade in and no money to put down because the month before in Dec of 2022 we had been in a serious accident when someone had hit me and totaled my car. How can they finance me a car with no trade in and no money down but now that I have a car to trade in and now they won't trade this in but send me a letter to do so?I really think they just don't want to do the paperwork to make it work. Why send me this letter telling me that I am able to do this but when I contact them they tell me it's not possible? I really think they are financially stereotyping against me. I feel if I had lots of money they would be all jumping at the chance to help me and get me into a new vehicle with no problem. I work under a stipend and my husband is on Social Security and that is why I feel we are being stereotyped against because of our financial situation.Business Response

Dear Sir/******,
Ms.**** ***** contacted us about the letter she received in reference to trading her 2017 **** Escape, which was purchased here on 01/14/2023. As to not discuss too much of ******************** situation, her remaining balance on her trade in is a lot higher than what the trade value is worth. Ive also provided a full copy of the front and back of the letter stating that Negative Equity will be added to any purchase or lease. This offer does not include the payoff of any outstanding financial obligations. The trade amount and offer are available as stated in the letter but based on the amount of money still owed on said trade vehicle, we were unable to ascertain comparable or reasonable financing for her without a down payment.
Please reach out if you should have any further questions.
Sincerely,
**** *****

Below you will find our detailed history from the Pre-Owned Inspection performed on the vehicle for Pre-Owned Inventory, the sale of the vehicle, and all repairs and diagnosis completed after the sale. All of our pre-owned inventory is put through an inspection to ensure it is in good condition to be sold. As with any machines there are components that may require maintenance and/or replacement throughout ownership and we are willing to assist with completing those tasks either under valid warranty (if applicable) or at the owner's expense.
ON 3/6/24 (RO ****** ****** MILES) WE PERFORMED OUR PRE-OWNED INSPECTION CHECK. WE PERFORMED AN OIL CHANGE, BALANCED THE TIRES, RESURFACED THE BRAKE ROTORS, REPLACED THE ***** FILTER AND INSTALLED A LEFT LOWER CONTROL ARM
THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED ON 3/15/24. IT WAS NOTICED THAT THERE WAS A RATTLE WHEN DRIVING. ON RO ****** ****** MILES WE REPLACED AN AIR BOX DUCT AT OUR EXPENSE
AT THE TIME OF SALE THERE WAS A 6 MONTH/6,000 MILE LIMITED WARRANTY
ON 5/16/24 (RO ****** ****** MILES) THE VEHICLE CAME IN FOR BRAKE LIFE CONCERN AND A TAPPING NOISE FROM THE EXHAUST. IT WAS FOUND THAT ALTHOUGH THE BRAKE **** WERE OK THE SENSOR WAS NOT READING CORRECTLY. THE CUSTOMER STATES HE WOULD REPLACE THE SENSOR WHEN THE **** NEEDED REPLACED. WE WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE ANY ABNORMAL NOISES OR EXHAUST LEAKS AT THAT TIME
ON 11/4/24 (RO ****** ****** MILES) THE VEHICLE CAME IN FOR A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, HESITATING AND WHITE SMOKE FROM EXHAUST CONCERN. THE BATTERY WAS DEAD. WE PERFORMED A BATTERY TEST WHICH FAILED. THE CUSTOMER WAS INFORMED THAT WE NEEDED A GOOD BATTERY IN PLACE TO COMPLETE FURTHER DIAGNOSTICS. THE CUSTOMER DECLINED THE REPAIR AND LEFT
ON 11/12/24 (RO ****** ****** MILES) THE VEHICLE CAME BACK WITH A NO CRANK CONCERN. THE CUSTOMER STATED HE HAD REPLACED THE BATTERY BUT IT WENT DEAD AGAIN. WE FOUND THE BRAKE PEDAL POSITION SENSOR WAS BROKEN CAUSING THE BRAKE LIGHT TO STAY ON AND DRAIN THE BATTERY AGAIN. IT WAS ALSO FOUND THAT A 350 AMP **** FUSE WAS BLOWN AT SOMETIME DURING THE BATTERY REPLACEMENT PROCESS. THE CUSTOMER AUTHORIZED REPLACING THE **** FUSE AND REPAIRING THE BRAKE PEDAL SENSOR. THE ENGINE STILL HAS A CONCERN WITH BLOWING SMOKE AND USING ANTIFREEZE. IT POSSIBLY HAS A BLOWN HEADGASKET. THE 6 MONTH/6,000 MILE LIMITED WARRANTY RAN OUT ON 9/15/24 AND AT ****** MILES.Regards,

***** **** I am rejecting this complaint because I seen in the upper I taken it back and there was an exhaust problem with the smoking and everything and now it's even worse so if you go up and look they couldn't duplicate it I get that at the time but they knew about it already cuz I told them and taking it to them to be serviced and they did nothing about it saying nothing was wrong as you can read above and obviously they're acknowledging that now it's an issueInitial Complaint

Bought a car off them within 2 hours check engine light came on and the DEF warning light to where in 201 miles the truck would go down to 5mph. Called took it in the next day told them I didn’t want the truck they said I can’t do that. So 3 weeks later I’m still without a truck. And no one allowing me to get my trade in back.Business Response

To whom it may concern:
*** *** **** ********* purchased a 2016 Nissan Titan with 92,600 miles on 09/12/2022. At Crivelli Chevrolet Buick Inc we ensure that every vehicle sold has gone through a thorough Used Vehicle Check including but not limited to Pennsylvania State Inspection and Emissions. As **** ********* stated, there was nothing wrong with the vehicle when they took delivery, and this issue didn't occur until after 2 hours of driving. This vehicle runs on diesel fuel and based on Federal emissions it must have the necessary Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF system) system to operate. This system is what had malfunctioned and there is no way for anybody to see when or why this may happen. At Crivelli Chevrolet Buick Inc we hold the utmost standard for taking care of all our clients. We immediately instructed to get the vehicle back to Crivelli Chevrolet Buick Inc for us to address the issues. After diagnosing the vehicle and speaking with the local Nissan dealership Crivelli's spent $1,062.75 to try to correct said concern. This didn't fix the vehicle and our next step was to get the vehicle to a certified Nissan technician to address the concern. They diagnosed the vehicle and determined that it needed a new DEF system that will cost over $2,400. As I stated, wanting to take care of the customer, Crivelli's agreed to pay the additional $2,400 to the Nissan dealership to repair the vehicle. We are currently awaiting arrival of parts at the Nissan facility to repair the vehicle.
Neither Crivelli Chevrolet Buick Inc or *** *** **** ********* ever wants something like to happen. But unfortunately, in our business that deals with machines, there are some failures. We have provided *** *** **** ********* transportation at no cost to them and have informed them during this whole process. As far as returning the vehicle, all our contracts and paperwork are done electronically and submitted to the financial institutions with a "No Cooling Off Period".Sincerely,
Nate R****
