Per ********************* this is not what was discussed when on site. Customer wants fixed for free and the item they are concerned about is not something that was caused by workmanship. Feel free to attach pictures to this complaint.Customer Answer

Please see attached paid Weaver invoice from May 2023. The invoice indicates that the $227.90 charge was to "Reattach awning rail with new screws and replace bulb" Work as completed but not satisfactory. The awning rail was still coming off. Message Weaver's numerous times with no reply.
Please see attached invoice and commentary from RV specialist who recently fixed RV.
Because Weavers has previously refused to fix their poor workmanship, I expect to be reimbursed by Weavers in the amount of the second invoice - $360.
I can also attach actual pictures of the before and after if deemed necessary as well as my numerous unanswered texts and voicemails.
We were not trying to get something for free. Weaver was paid to fix the awning; awning not fixed by Weaver; New vendor paid to fix;Business Response

We installed a new awning and hardware on 6/22/2022 as they stated. In may 2023 They requested us to look at the awning rail pulling away from the side of their rv. We clearly explained that this rail that the awnin slides into was not something that we installed. The rail was installed at factory when the unit was built. This rail/channel is what the awning slides into and was not a part that we replaced or installed. They contacted us in may of 2023 also inquiring about the awning fabric coming into contact with the slide top and the rail coming out of the wall. We were paid to come out and inspect the concern which we did in may of 2023. The cause of the fabric coming into contact with the slide top was the awning arm being incorrectly pitched. We adjusted the pitch and also added some missing/loose screws into the awning rail. They later contacted us to request the awning rail be reinstalled "properly" We explained to them we can do that but it would not ba at no charge as we were not the ones that installed the awning rail. They refused to pay for any more work to be done, then became irate to deal with demanding we fix things we did not install. It should also be noted that the "company" they sent a copy of a repair bill for is an ex employee of ours who is no longer employed by us but is the technician who installed the awning originally when he worked for us. So I am unsure how someone who insatlled the awning can now say it was not installed properly.Customer Answer

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered]
Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because:
When the original awning was installed from the manufacturer, there was no issue of the material touching the slide out. When the replacement arms were installed, the arms were either ordered incorrectly or are shorter than the original ones.
Your technicians on site made the decision to have the arms lowered than the original manufacturer placement that affects both the pitch and distance of the awning.
We are not engineers or designers of awnings and arms. We relied on the expertise of your technicians. The company's laughable argument insinuating that *****, the person who ultimately fixed the awning arms, was initially the technician who decided the course of action to fix is absurd.
***** was one of the technicians on site the day it was supposedly fixed. However, ****** opinion on how to fix the awning was overruled by the lead technician on site, ********************** Please also keep in mind that *********************,not having the years of experience or rv knowledge as *****, is the son of the owner of the company, **********************
I personally spoke to ********************* when he returned to inspect your Company's poor workmanship and he admitted his mistake. I would think that ********************* should take responsibility for the installation. In addition, you charged for 2 technicians but make no mention of the lead technician, **********************
I still expect to be reimbursed for the amount that was needed to correct the company's work. I have more important things to do than try and get free rv service.
Regards,

I hired Weaver's RV to fix my slide-out in my ***** ***** camper. I was informed that all it needed was two new gears because the existing gears had broken teeth. They mentioned that a few years down the road the slide-out would need more work to repair previous water damage. I asked if the repair of the gears would make the camper fully functional for my camping trip shortly following the completion of their work. They assured me that it would, although I was never presented with a written work order. Unfortunately, that was not the case, and the slide-out did not function properly, causing water infiltration during rain showers. We were unable to fully extend the slide-out and also were not able to fully retract the slide-out during our transport of the camper after our trip. Weaver's billed me for their work despite not achieving the assured results. I do not mind paying for the parts, but the problem was not fixed and resulted in further water damage to our camper.Business Response

Attached is a copy of our note transcript on this customer documenting our interactions from our management software we use to keep track of all our customers and our interactions with them. I am also attaching pictures for reference to show what we did. One of the teeth on their slide out gear was broken off. This usually happens when one of several things occur. If a slideout has water damage (which this customer does) it can put excessive force on the rails causing this to happen. If the rails are rusted and worn this can also cause this to happen. Or it could just be a fatigued gear that a tooth just broke off of. We cannot determine this until we have a good gear on there so we can run it in and out to see if there are any other problems. The customer was explained all this and authorized us to replace the gears. After replacing the gears it was determined that the rail teeth were not making proper contact with the gear set. This is from rust and excessive wear. The needed repairs to remedy this needs to have the slide out of the rv removed to repair which as a mobile service we are unable to do as we lack the equipment to support and remove the slideout from the rv. Again the customer was made aware of this before we replaced the gear set.
Attached picture descriptions below are of the slide out mechanism on this customers rv slideout
There is one titled gear we replaced which shows the location of the gear we replaced on the front and back rails of their rv slideout system. The next picture titled rail teeth rusted and worn shows the location of the teeth on the rail that are not engaging 100% as they should. This rail is welded on the main tube and the rv slideout must be removed from the rv to have this replaced. We are only a mobile service and do not have equipment to handle the weight of removing the slide to perform this repair.
If you would like, take the time to read our ****** reviews. We pride ourselves on being upfront and honest in all our interactions.
