     Complaint: 22612499

I am rejecting this response because:

This company is being completely dishonest and unwilling to stand by their work. They wont finish the job and now are coming up with excuses why it cant be done til Spring, Spring is months away. Ive paid them in full but they wont complete their end of the deal.

Theyve told me on 3 separate occasions that they would complete the job in a timely manner. Ive now waited 2.5 months for the remaining work to get done, its still incomplete. This is completely unacceptable.

I met the son ****** **** at the job site before any work began, i showed him what I wanted and he told he understood. After they poured the concrete I met him once again and told him he didnt finish the job, that I needed him to fill in one more concrete slab like originally promised. He told me he understood and would get it done within 2 weeks. A week went by and I wanted a follow up, thats when he started dodging my phone calls and text messages.

Soon after I started emailing his mother **** ****. She told me through email she would get it resolved and complete the work in November. Its now December and it seems they have zero intention of getting this work done. This job was supposed to be finished the very first week of October.

Im really unsure why this company has repeatedly told me they would get the remaining work done and is refusing to do so. **** **** basically told me theyd get to it in the Spring Why? You guys do concrete work every week, why are you shoving me to the side until Spring? This is not professionalism. This is not standing by your name or your word.

I want this job done immediately. This job was supposed to be complete October 1, 2024, it is now December 12, 2024.

    Regards,

    ******* ***

    Business Response

    Date: 12/11/2024

Its unfortunate that Mr. *** failed to leave out all the important details regarding his complaint.

We submitted Mr. **** permit paperwork to the township requesting a like for like concrete replacement for this project. This meant that we were removing and repouring his existing concrete measurements / footprint. Mr. *** was aware of this submittal. Any additional add to measurements would require a site plan with additional costs and Mr. *** did not want to go that route.

The (1) 4x4 block that Mr. *** is referring too was not included in our original estimate provided to Mr. **** In fact, when I questioned Mr. *** about this area explaining that it was a grassy area never covered in concrete, he was dishonest in his response stating that it was at one point concrete.  I advised Mr. *** that I would contact the township and have them review the site to determine if that was correct.

The township inspected the site, and it was determined that the additional area in question was never a concrete block. The township sent pictures over to me confirming their review. I also shared the pictures with Mr. ****

Mr. **** completed project cost was *****, we completed our work per township permit approval on 9-30-24. Mr. **** statement regarding he paid us in full is correct. We completed our work. The additional 4x4 block he is referring too was never included in our project scope of work. His statement again is inaccurate and dishonest.

I contact the township on 10-17-24 to see if they would allow us (work around) to pour this additional block without pulling another permit. They authorized this request but with restrictions that we could not alter any other concrete removal at the driveway apron. I contact Mr. *** and advised. The additional cost for this work would be 350, he agreed.

I advised Mr. *** that we would gladly pour this block for him when we had a concrete truck scheduled in his area. We had a project delay in his area, and I advised Mr. *** that he could wait until the spring, or I could refer him to another concrete company. I provided Mr. *** with two concrete contacts. Our company does not hand pour concrete. We only use concrete truck deliveries for all our projects.

Mr. *** became pushy and unreasonable and decided to write to the BBB and provide a customer statement that is inaccurate. His desired settlement remark stating - Finish the Job, again is incorrect and untrue.

Our initial estimate and contracted work are complete.
